1. Diana Tremaine and Rosella Cracker
So I basically had to skim her wiki but uh, I’m? Such a sucker for pirate/princess tropes? And Diana, also a lady of noble birth who loves doing reckless shit? Idk, I’m just here for pirate/princess shenanigans.
2. Phoebe Carter and Adrian Tepes
DHAMPIR AND HUNTER? DHAMPIR AND HUNTER. C.astlevania’s on the list but I haven’t checked it out, but it seems like a good chance for me to figure out a more period AU for Pheebs which I’m so down for. She’s down to kill D.racula, lbr
3. Harriet Hook and Sombra
Honestly? No clue. They’d probably be an excellent fighting duo but as far as figuring out a place for them to mesh, idk? Hook’s a criminal even in her modern verse but he’s pretty small time. Idk. Fun fighty girls though!
4. Melody Andersen and Diana of Themyscira
OKAY THIS COULD BE FUN! I don’t have a fleshed out superhero verse for Mels but! Can you just imagine Atlantica is near Themyscira!? Because I do have an AU where Melody is raised by Triton so just? Diana who’s got this mermaid buddy growing up, for literal years? Please.
5. Persephone and Cindy Tremaine
I haven’t worked out a Fables verse for Seph but honestly? Just let these two bitch about life and fight people together?? Idk, I could see them being good friends, just drinking wine and complaining about shit together.
#messages#rcsedoux#i'll stop wearing black when they make a darker color (ooc)#((these are lame but let me love all your kids evie!!))#so i'm writing queue a chorus and here is your verse (queue)

remember shatter-me juliette who really cared for people? yeah, that's her now.
six soldiers die protecting juliette in restore me.
juliette: i'm too busy fucking my boyfriend to care about them (dudes probably had wives, kids, relatives, etc, but alas).
sector 45 wiped from the face of earth, all people are gruesomely murdered (it's anderson we're talking about, their deaths were probably very brutal and painful).
juliette: i'm too busy throwing a birthday party for my boyfriend to care about some random dead people. yeah i said that i'm gonna lead them, i said that i'm gonna change their lives for the better, i promised to protect them, i gave them false hope, i was the reason why they’ve committed treason that punished by death under the laws of their TOTALITARIAN government...
BUT, TO BE HONEST, ALL I REALLY CARE ABOUT IS SUCKING MY BOYFRIEND OFF, SO THEY KINDA HAD IT COMING... SHOULDN'T HAVE TRUSTED A 17 YEAR OLD. WHAT DID THEY EVEN EXPECT? THAT I'M GONNA BE A GOOD LEADER? THAT I'M GONNA TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY WORDS AND ACTIONS? THAT I'M ACTUALLY GONNA WORK TO MAKE THEIR LIVES BETTER??? LOOOOOL! I FIGHT FOR A SECOND CHANCE OF JOY!!! FOR ME!!! not for some random strangers 😊😊😊.
[off-topic, but that birthday party was so cringy.
(not me defending walking dildo on main, but fuck my life that scene was really painful to read. it was so bad that i genuinely felt sorry for him (and it says a lot considering that my usual emotion towards him is contempt).
so on his first “normal” birthday she: throws him a surprise (he hates surprises), they in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by people who either tried to kill juliette or were planning to flee from sector 45 three minutes after warner and juliette got captured. And the cutest part: she and a bunch of random strangers bullied (it’s exact word mafi used: he’s bullied into blowing candles) him into doing something he’s clearly uncomfortable doing. and he did it only because juliette wanted him to. not because he himself wanted to try something new, not because she put some thought and effort into creating a safe space for him (you know something that would supposed to be very important, considering his history and all the terrible things that happened to him in the past). not because she helped him to make a transition from “your birthday is the worst day in a year” to “we’re together, you’re safe, let’s try to do things differently”.
no. she presented him with fait accompli and he left with no choice but to say yes.
OH MY GOD! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT ANDERSON WAS DOING TO HIM HIS ENTIRE LIFE! isn’t it great that Juliette keeps this tradition alive?
long story short, he’s also got lame stupid-ass vanilla-boring cake.
/warner, sweety, i’m so sorry, i’m so sorry…/
(OK, BUT WHY THE FUCK I HAVE MORE EMPATHY TOWARD THE GUY THAT I REALLY DESPISE, THAN THE LOVE OF HIS FUCKING LIFE???
oh wait I know, because it wasn’t about warner, it was about juliette (ME ME ME! LOOK AT ME! I’M SUCH A GOOD PERSON! LOOK AT ME! ME! ME! I DID IT! I! I! I! MEEEEEE! AM I NOT THE BEST PERSON YOU’VE EVER MET???) and fan service, shittone of fan service).
end of off-topic]
last but not least:
emma suffers in agony every minute of her life and begs juliette to kill her so she won’t feel this pain anymore.
juliette: denies her this wish because she wants to get her sister back and then she doesn't think about emma at all, because, guess what???? SHE'S TOO BUSY FUCKING HER BOYFRIEND!!!
it really doesn’t matter that she broke every promise she made, because she’s a main character and therefore she will never be held responsible for her fuck ups. no matter how many people die or suffer because of her incompetence. at the end of the day everyone is kissing her ass and acting like she’s a second coming of jesus christ.
i really don’t know who had it worse in terms of character assassination: her or warner.
instead of creating interesting plot and making characters multi dimensional, mafi writes torture porn just to be edgy (because after weeks of gruesome experiments (at one point evie was burning juliette’s skin off, while she was conscious) there’s no mental consequences at all, five minutes later juliette's absolutely happy and she joyfully fucks walking dildo the second she gets the chance). then mafi writes this FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC AMA GIVE YOU A CAKE HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU WARNER bullshit and calls it a day.
#shatter me juliette would be so disgusted by magical vagina#for real i never saw more bland pathetic and unlikable mc#how the fuck empathetic and caring girl end up THERE???#shatter me#defy me#restore me#imagine me#second trilogy really is another level of bad trash#warnette#aaron warner#juliette ferrars

Christmas in Storybrooke: 3/13
Summary: My Hallmark Christmas movie fic in which flights get cancelled and Henry’s “best friend’ gets snowed in with him in his quirky hometown for Christmas. Only with magic and fairy tale characters.
Yes, you read that right. I outlined this fic, and it will be 13 chapters (well, 12 plus an epilogue) because apparently my muse loves to torture me. Once I finish Sleepless in Seattle, I’ll be updating this daily to hopefully finish by New Years. Hopefully . . .
Rating: M for suggestive scenes and adult situations, not smut
Trigger warnings: Henry is an adult. Read that again: Henry is an adult. Look at the picset: that’s Andrew J. West. If Henry actually behaving like an adult makes you feel icky, the don’t read this.

Chapter Three: White Christmas
Henry rolled over on the lumpy futon, groaning and arching his back. How had ever slept on this thing as a teenager? Across the room, Evie was still asleep in the bed from the old guest room. She was on her side, one pillow under her head and a second one clutched to her chest. Her brow was furrowed and her fists clenched, and he wondered not for the first time why her body was always so coiled and tense in sleep. She seemed to be so steady most of the time, so unfazed by the rough nature of her work. Did she keep it all bottled inside?
He threw his blankets aside, also casting off such melancholy thoughts about Evie. Maybe she just couldn’t relax in an unfamiliar place while she was missing her family. He pulled a sweatshirt on over his undershirt, put some thick socks on his feet, and padded down the cold hardwood stairs to the second floor. It was quiet there, but he could hear voices drifting up from the ground floor along with the sounds of someone working in the kitchen. Sure enough, he found his siblings scurrying around the kitchen while his stepfather stirred a pan of scrambled eggs at the stove. A timer dinged, and Killian smoothly pushed the pan off the hot burner and opened the oven door to pull out a pan of cinnamon rolls.
“Morning, lad!” he called to Henry, in his usual bright morning voice. Killian’s love of the early hours had always been a source of slight irritation for both Henry and his mother. It never felt right that he was so chipper when the sun was barely rising.
Of course, the upside was having a breakfast chef. Once they had convinced him that broiled mackerel was not a suitable breakfast food, that is.
“Grab these eggs, for me?” Killian asked as he set the pan of sticky rolls on the countertop. Hope was next to the fridge pouring glasses of orange juice. Soon, they were all gathered around the table with plates of food.
“I’ve missed breakfast like this,” Henry sighed as he bit into a cinnamon roll. “Usually I just grab a donut or a bagel on my way to work.”
“Why do you still have to work for that online newspaper?” Hope asked. “You wrote that book.”
“Well,” Henry sighed, “novelists don’t exactly make a ton of money, especially when they self- publish. I have to pay the bills somehow.”
“It was a fantastic read, Henry, I couldn’t put it down,” Killian added, “I don’t know why a publishing company hasn’t picked it up.”
Henry warmed at the praise. Everyone in Storybrooke had supported his career. He was pretty sure everyone in town had bought multiple copies of his first novel. But to hear Killian support him like this meant even more. Not only because the man read voraciously but because he was the closest thing to a father he had ever had.
“Well,” he said, struggling to swallow his bite of egg as his heart soared, “I think they see fairy tale retellings as only selling in YA markets, and mine is definitely an adult book.”
“Yeah,” grumbled Hope, “Mom and Dad won’t let me read it yet.”
“Sorry, kid,” Henry sympathized.
Leia attempted to wipe her sticky fingers on the front of her nightgown, and Killian wordlessly handed her a wet wipe. “When do we leave for the farm, Daddy?”
“No!” Charlie protested, almost spilling his juice, “the Snow Festival is first!”
“But I want to ride Buttercup!” protested Leia
“Shut up, you two,” Hope snapped.
“Don’t tell your brother and sister to shut up,” warned Killian.
“Fine,” Hope muttered, rolling her eyes.
“And you two,” Killian added, pointing at the twins as they stuck their tongues out at each other, “you know full well we’re going to the festival first, then the farm. There’s no point arguing about it.”
“The festival’s going to be lame this year,” Hope pouted, pushing at her eggs with her fork.
“Hope,” a voice said from the stairs, “watch it, young lady.”
“Swan!” Killian exclaimed, jumping from the table and rushing to his wife, “I was going to bring breakfast up to you!”
Emma waved him off as he helped her into a chair. “I’m fine, babe. I’m not an invalid.”
Killian frowned as he started scrambling some more eggs. “But I worry about the stairs, love. It seems like a lot of strain, and Whale said you’re not supposed to over exert yourself.”
Emma rolled her eyes exactly as Hope had earlier. “You insist on carrying me up the stairs, going down is no big deal. And I’m already having to be pushed around the festival today in a wheelchair. At least let me eat breakfast at the damn table with my family.”
“Words, Mommy!” Charlie crowed with a smirk.
“Speaking of the festival -” Henry began hesitantly.
“Don’t worry,” Emma assured as she reached her hand over to rest upon his arm. “I sent a message to Elsa, and we also had an emergency town meeting. No magic.”
“Like I said,” Hope grumbled, “lame.”
“What’s lame?”
The silence became palpable as every head swiveled to the bottom of the stairs where Evie was just coming down. She had combed her hair and put it in a smooth, low ponytail, but she still wore her snowflake flannel pajamas.
“Hope was just expressing her opinions on our town’s annual Snow Festival,” Killian smoothly explained as he set a plate of food in front of his wife. “I’m afraid she’s getting to that age -”
“The tween age?” Evie laughed as she took the empty seat between Hope and Emma. She looked over at Hope and winked. “I remember those days.”
“She only thinks it’s gonna be lame cause there’s no mag-”
Henry reached over and clamped his hand over Leia’s mouth. “No . . . magi . . . “ he stuttered, wracking his brain to come up with a lie. “You know, the three wise men?”
“Yeah, magi,” Emma put in, “there . . . uh . . . used to be a live nativity scene . . . but, uh, people complained about the animals -”
“And their poop!” Charlie finished, dissolving into giggles. “Camels poo-oop, camels poo-op -”
“Charlie, that is not appropriate at the table,” Killian told his son firmly.
Henry caught Evie’s eye, who was holding her hand over her mouth and trying not to laugh. An awkward silence fell as Evie and Emma both started on their food.
“You know,” Evie finally spoke up, her gaze still on her eggs, “I work for the FBI. I can tell when people are lying.”
Silence reigned again, as the entire Jones family exchanged concerned glasses.
“But,” she continued, “I can also tell when a lie is innocent and when it’s more . . . nefarious. This is clearly a lie I can overlook.”
Everyone let out breaths they didn’t realize they had been holding.
Evie took a sip of juice, then added, “For now.”
*******************************************************
The family ended up being late to the festival, what with getting three kids out the door and maneuvering Emma’s wheelchair down the porch steps. Emma’s irritation at using said wheelchair not necessarily helping matters. So by the time they reached town hall, it was packed. Luckily, Regina, Zelena, and the Charmings had saved them a nice spot up front. The crowds, of course, also eagerly parted for the savior, calling out well wishes and concern for her and the baby. If Evie noticed Emma’s special treatment, she didn’t comment on it.
“As if this weren’t humiliating enough,” Emma grumbled under her breath. Henry exchanged an amused glance with Killian; they both knew his mother wasn’t fond of being fawned over like the princess and hero that she was.
Further introductions were necessary as Evie met the rest of Henry’s family for the first time. He had prepared his grandparents ahead of time to call themselves his aunt and uncle, and Neal at 13 was old enough to play along and pretend to be Henry’s “cousin.” Little Ava wasn’t even a year old and not yet talking. Evie eagerly took the baby from Mary Margaret (no “Snow” Henry had lectured everyone over the phone), and the little one seemed just as eager to be in Evie’s arms. His other mother and Aunt Zelena were also on their best behavior, welcoming Evie with rare warmth. Twelve-year-old Robyn was fascinated by Evie’s career in the FBI.
“Have you ever had to shoot someone?”
“Robyn!” Zelena reprimanded. “That is not an appropriate question!”
“It’s okay,” Evie laughed as Ava gurgled and grabbed at her nose. “No, Robyn, I haven’t. Most of what I do is more boring than you would expect. I mostly talk to people after they are brought in. I try to get them to tell the truth.”
Henry could tell by Robyn’s expression that she was disappointed. He also knew Evie was being vague on purpose; her specific job with the bureau wasn’t exactly an appropriate topic for children.
“Well,” Regina said, “it was nice to meet you, Evie, and I can’t wait to talk more later, but right now I have a job to do.”
His mom made her way up to the stage that had been set up in front of town hall. Everyone cheered as she waved to the crowd and stepped up to the microphone.
“Welcome everyone, to our annual Snow Festival!” she paused while the crowd cheered some more. “I’d like to welcome to Storybrooke, Qu-Mayor of Arendelle, Elsa Frost!”
The crowd clapped half-heartedly as this was much shorter than the usual speech. Normally, his mother reminded everyone of the Snow Queen and her spell of shattered sight that was thwarted by sisters Queen Elsa and Princess Anna of Arendelle. Even though the spell happened in the summer, not the winter, the town had voted that the Saturday before Christmas was the perfect time to celebrate the historic Storybrooke event.
As Elsa came up the steps to join his mother, Henry realized he had never seen her dressed in normal clothes. Instead of her usual royal gown, she wore a simple blue off the shoulder sweater dress with black leggings and boots. Her hair was still braided over her shoulder, and laced through with decorative snowflakes. He wasn’t surprised to see her without a coat, hat, or mittens. As she often said, the cold just didn’t bother her. Everyone else gathered around, even his mother on stage, were bundled up and shivering.
Elsa embraced Regina, then turned to the microphone. “As always, I am delighted to be here. This town is full of so many dear friends.” Here Elsa searched the crowd, her gaze resting on Emma and Killian for a moment. “And now, I would like to present, Arendelle’s yearly Christmas gift!”
With that, Elsa lifted a large sheet off an ice sculpture that stood on the ground in front of the stage. Next to him, Evie let out an awed gasp, but she was the only one impressed. Everyone else gave only polite applause.
“That’s amazing,” Evie told him, “I’ve never seen something so intricate! And how did she get the ice castle to glow like that?”
It was beautiful, and it was no doubt made from Elsa’s ice magic. But normally Elsa made the ice castle while everyone watched in awe. The castle was slightly different every year, but it was always big enough for everyone to explore. It would have slides and turrets and winding staircases. Then Elsa always ended the presentation with a burst of magical snowflakes, intricate and as big as your hand that twinkled with glittery multicolored magic as they floated over the crowd. In comparison, this year’s sculpture was a huge disappointment. Hope caught his eye, her arms crossed and her eyebrows lifted as if to say, told you so.
“Henry,” Evie leaned over and whispered, “um, why is everyone glaring at me?”
Henry looked away from his sister and saw Leroy giving Evie a look so hateful he was surprised daggers weren’t shooting out of the dwarf’s eyes. “Oh ignore Leroy, he’s always in a bad mood.”
“No, Henry, not just him.”
Henry scanned the crowd to find that she wasn’t exaggerating. All of the dwarves were gathered around Leroy like a group of rural thugs from The Outsiders. Granny was giving her the stink eye over the edge of her bifocals, and even the fairies were staring snootily down their noses. Henry scowled, rubbed Evie’s arm comfortingly and marched over to Granny and the dwarves.
“Will you all lay off?” he hissed so Evie couldn’t hear. “It’s not her fault that her flight got cancelled. She’s essentially stuck here for Christmas, so the least you can do is make her feel welcome.” Without waiting for a response, he marched over to the fairies. “How do you think it looks to have a group of nuns shunning a visitor to town? I’d expect this from the dwarves, but not from all of you.”
“I agree,” a voice spoke up from the edge of the group.
Blue turned to face the petite blonde. “Tink, you aren’t even part of our order anymore.”
“And this is exactly why. You’re really going to pout over a silly little festival?” Tink then turned to Henry apologetically. “Hook told me about your friend. Introduce me?”
“Um, okay,” Henry said hesitantly, “but none of that Hook business, and your name is Tina, okay?”
She nudged Henry with her elbow. “I can be subtle.”
God, I hope so, Henry prayed to whoever would listen. As he walked back over to his family with Tink, his concern only increased. His other grandfather and Belle had joined them, and Elsa was bent over Emma’s wheelchair giving her a tight hug. Mercifully, Gideon had taken off somewhere with Hope, Neal, and Robyn. That was three less magical youngsters he would have to worry about. Hopefully the twins would keep behaving themselves.
“Henry!” Belle exclaimed, bounding over to him and embracing him in a tight hug. “We’ve all missed you. Did Killian tell you I have six copies of your novel in the library?”
He glanced over his shoulder to where Tink was introducing herself to Evie. Since his best friend’s eyes weren’t bugging out of her head, he assumed it was going well.
“Um, yes, he did, but considering that everyone in town bought their own copy, I think it was overly generous of you.”
“It was not,” scoffed Belle. “That book is a masterpiece, and we need to make sure it’s preserved for the future. Isn’t that right, Rumple?”
“Aye, it’s a great accomplishment, my boy.”
He slapped Henry on the back and smiled, but Henry still couldn’t shake the feeling that Belle was always happier to see him. Nevertheless, he shook his grandfather’s hand in greeting.
“We’ve been meeting your friend Evangeline here,” Belle continued in her eager, friendly voice. She put an arm around Evie in a half hug, and his friend tossed him a look that clearly said help! It wasn’t that Evie had an aversion to touch like Emma did, but meeting so many people all at once was clearly overwhelming her. Mary Margaret was now on stage announcing the snowman building contest, giving Henry a perfect opportunity to rescue her. He extended his hand towards her.
“I believe you told me once that you’ve never built a snowman?”
Evie grinned and took his hand. “I did.”
“You know what they say,” he told her with a wink, ”you never forget your first.”
He had no idea what possessed to say something so audaciously suggestive in front of his entire family.
“He gets that from me, you know,” Killian commented to Grandpa David as Henry walked away with Evie on his arm.
He had no idea what that meant, either.
***************************************************
“You know,” Evie grunted as she rolled their snowman’s head across the snowy ground, “no one ever mentions in Hallmark movies what a workout snowman building is.”
Henry chuckled as he helped her roll the head on top of their snowman’s torso. “I don’t think Hallmark movies are the best place to get accurate information about snow.”
Evie draped a scarf around their snowman’s neck, then looked around at the competition and frowned. “Ours looks like Frosty, but some of these are works of art.”
Henry nodded as he gave their snowman a carrot nose. “It’s gotten very competitive as the years have gone by.”
“Look at your stepdad and the twins,” Evie pouted.
Henry followed her gaze to see Killian lifting Leia to put a garland of poinsettias on their snowfairy’s head. It also not only had wings on its back, but Killian had helped the kids add glitter to intricate carvings along the bottom. The snowfairy had an hourglass figure as well.
“Yeah, Killian’s pretty artistic. You should see him carve a pumpkin.” Of course, he used his hook for those, but Evie didn’t need to know that. Come to think of it, he normally used his hook in the snowman building competition, so it was pretty impressive that he had done so well without it. “He and the twins won last year.” Until the twins were disqualified for bringing their snowpirate to live, that is.
Evie bent down to press buttons into the bottom of the snowman. “So what’s up with your grandpa?”
“What about him?”
“You and him; you seem kind of . . . distant.”
“Oh,” Henry replied, shaking his head. He had thought she was talking about Grandpa David, and he suddenly realized she thought David was his uncle. “Yeah, we’re not that close really.”
“He doesn’t have to be so cold,” Evie said with an edge to her voice.
Henry sighed as he turned the pebbles they were using for the snowman’s mouth in his hand. “I’ve tried to figure out why he’s like that, but I’ve given up. He says he loves me, but . . . .” Henry started pressing the pebbles one by one onto the snowman’s face. “It may be because of my dad. People say I look like him, and since he died . . . maybe it’s painful for my grandpa? But then other times, I wonder if he just doesn’t like me.”
“He should be happy to have a bit of his son in you.”
Henry shrugged. “Could just be his personality then.” Or being the Dark One, once again something else Evie couldn’t know. “Or it may be my stepdad. Killian and I are close, and, well . . . Grandpa has never liked Killian much.”
Evie nodded as she stood and brushed snow off her knees. “Everyone has some dysfunction in their family.”
“Even your perfect suburban family?”
She rolled her eyes. “Please, Henry, you have no idea.”
She gazed over his shoulder and smiled at whatever had caught her eye. Henry turned to see Hope, Neal, Robyn, and Gideon shoving handfuls of snow into each other’s faces and laughing instead of working on their snowman. Evie squinted.
“Is that . . . “
“Cerberus, the two headed dog of the underworld? Yep, it is,” Henry answered.
“Guess they’re Percy Jackson fans,” Evie mused as she put the top hat on their Frosty.
“Yeah,” Henry said dryly, “guess so . . . “
*************************************************
Evie plopped down on a bench next to Elsa who had been sitting and chatting with Emma in her wheelchair. Henry smiled as Evie said something to his mother, and they both laughed. When he reached them, Evie grinned up at him.
“I was just telling your mom how miserably we did in the competition.”
“And I was telling her that the only time I got so much as an honorable mention was when Elsa was my partner.”
The Queen of Arendelle giggled. “I think the judges felt sorry for us. You would think I of all people would be able to build a simple snowman.”
Emma grasped Elsa’s hand, her laughter leaving her breathless. “You should have seen it, Evie, a pitiful little thing that only reached our knees.”
“It looked like it was already melting,” Elsa added, fanning at her cheeks as tears filled her eyes from laughter. “With that huge carrot nose and crooked stick arms.”
“We named him Olaf,” Emma finished.
“Like in Frozen!” Evie exclaimed. “Cute! I bet you get Frozen jokes a lot with the name Elsa, and being blonde, and -”
“Dad!” Hope yelled so loudly over Henry’s shoulder that all four of them jumped. When they all swiveled towards her to find out why in the world she had screamed that way, she pointed near the ice skating pond. “I want to ice skate with Dad.”
“He’s coming over here now,” Emma pointed, then she mouthed to her daughter thank you.
“Mommy, mommy, look!” Charlie shouted, waving a blue ribbon in his hand as he and his sister and Killian approached. “First place!”
“And we didn’t even -”
Killian clapped a hand over Leia’s mouth before she could finish. “We didn’t even have the biggest snowman,” he finished.
“Our cerberus would have won if his second head hadn’t fallen off,” Hope grumbled.
“Uh uh,” argued Leia, “our snowfairy had glitter!”
Charlie stuck his tongue out at his big sister.
“Can you three get along for five minutes?” Emma groaned.
“Daddy!” Hope squealed, bouncing over to grasp Killian by the arm. “Come skate with me!”
Killian’s eyes grew wide and he scratched behind his ear. “Now love, you know how ridiculous I look trying to ice skate.”
Henry bit his lip to hold back his chuckle. A pirate who spent two centuries on a tropical island wasn’t exactly the most coordinated man on ice skates. Teasing him about it had become a favorite past time for all the Jones children.
“I see you, Henry,” Killian protested, wagging a finger at his stepson.
“How about if there’s a beginner on the ice with you?” Evie spoke up. She turned bright eyes on Henry. “I’ve never ice skated, but I’ve always wanted to.”
“I thought lots of people skate in New York City?” Charlie asked.
“They do, I guess,” Evie said with a wrinkled nose, “but what they don’t show in the movies is how crowded those rinks are. And I’ve never wanted to make a fool of myself in front of that many people.”
“Come on, then!” Hope cried, pulling her father down to the edge of the rink. Evie was right behind his little sister, and with a shrug to his mom and Elsa, Henry could do nothing but follow.
************************************************
Evie was clinging to Henry as if her life depended on it. Just staying upright was an incredible feat, and to say they were going a snail’s pace around the rink was an understatement.
“Whoa - oooh - woah!” Evie cried out as her feet slid back and forth beneath her. Her grip tightened on the collar of Henry’s coat.
“Careful!” he cried, wrapping his arms tight around her waist. “You’ll take me with you!”
“I take it back,” she muttered into her shirt, “building a snowman is a piece of cake compared to this.”
“You know,” he said against her hair, “it’s easier to skate going forwards.”
Still pressed against his chest, she tilted her face to look up at him. Her face was flushed, and wisps of her auburn hair had come free of her low ponytail. The green of the beanie on her head made the green in her eyes brighter, and even though there seemed to be a thousand layers of clothes between them, he was keenly aware of every one of her curves.
“So,” she said with a grin, “how do I turn around without falling on my ass?”
He suddenly realized he had a goofy grin plastered on his own face, and quickly cleared his throat. ”Um, very carefully?”
She rolled her eyes. “Thanks for the detailed instructions, Scott Moir.”
“If that makes you Tessa Virtue, I beg to differ.”
“Ha, ha, can you just help me face the other way, smart ass?”
He frowned down at her. ”Actually, I think it would be easier if I turned around.” He loosened his hold on her and then slowly let go with his left while keeping a firm grip on her with his right. “Don’t move,” he warned her as he pivoted. He tucked her into his side. “There, see?”
She wasn’t looking at him, but down at her feet. “Now how do I move?” she whispered as if talking too loud would sent her feet flying out from under her.
“The way my mom taught me is to pretend like your marching, only with tiny steps.”
“Which mom?”
“Does it matter?” Henry laughed. “It was Regina. Now, try it.”
Of course, he also had cursed memories of Emma teaching him. In his mind, those false memories still felt real. He cleared his throat to push the thought away as he watched Evie tentatively shift her feet back and forth.
“See, you’ve got it!”
Apparently, he had spoken too soon. Maybe there was a dip in the ice. Maybe it was the shock of Gideon Gold flying past at top speed. Maybe it was simply a sudden lack of balance. Whatever it was, Evie’s feet flew out from under her as a scream tore from her mouth. Henry moved to catch her, but her iron grip on his coat brought him down with her. He took the brunt of the fall and cushioned Evie’s landing.
Luckily, hysterical laughter poured out of her mouth. Henry let out a breath of relief, even as pain shot up his hip. Her laughter was contagious, and soon they were both breathless with it. Evie rolled off him and onto the ice, holding her side as she attempted to calm down. Henry rolled over to look down at her, his hand ghosting over her head, and then down her arm.
“Are you okay?”
“Me?” Evie gasped, laughter still spilling from her lips. “I landed on top of you!”
“As small as you are?” Henry teased. “You just knocked a little wind out of me.”
“Shut up with the short jokes,” she told him, smacking him lightly in the chest.
Without thinking, he grasped her hand and pressed it to his chest. They were both wearing mittens, but his heart still thudded. His gaze drifted from her eyes, those flecks of gold now shining merrily, and down to her lips. They were pink from the cold, but still full, and -
“Henry?”
“Yes?”
“The ice is kind of wet.”
“Oh,” he said, a blush filling his face as he scrambled to his knees. He helped her up, and once again she was clinging to the front of him, her nose buried in his coat.
“I think I’ll stay right here this time,” she told him.
That was definitely fine with him. The thought came unbidden, and Henry suddenly knew that his feelings for Evangeline Crawford went far deeper than friendship. But could he really expect to win this woman’s heart when every other word out of his mouth was a lie?

Part One
Friday, 1st September, 2006, New York City
Belle glanced over at her boyfriend who was making himself busy with watching the TV, though Belle could tell that Bucky was just as nervous as she was. She could tell by the way that his jaw was clenched, causing a muscle to flutter in his cheek, his blue eyes were almost too focused on the TV and his grip was a little too tight on the black leather of the couch. Belle took his hand in hers, turning it palm side down so she could scatter tiny kisses along his knuckles. Bucky finally tore his gaze from the screen to smile at Belle and he pressed a lingering kiss to her warm cheek.
“You doing okay baby?” she asked softly and he nodded, wrapping an arm around her shoulders, running his hand over the soft material of her pine green sweater.
“I’m fine sweetheart just nervous is all,” was his soft reply and Belle nodded understandingly.
“Me too but we’ll get through it together,” she smiled, resting a hand on his knee, tracing soothing circles into it.
“I can’t believe that I almost missed this,” he muttered so quietly that Belle wasn’t entirely sure that she was supposed to have heard him.
The sad remorseful look on his beautiful face caused a painful pang in Belle’s chest as she pushed the very painful memory to the back of her mind. It wouldn’t do well for either of them to dwell on the past, they had a future to look forward to.
“That wasn’t your fault Buck.”
Bucky was saved from answering when the door to their little boy’s bedroom opened with a soft creak, tearing Bucky and Belle’s attention away from one another, not before they shared a soft smile and they glanced at Noah. He had Bucky’s eyes – those beautiful blue eyes that Belle had fallen so deeply in love with – and he had Bucky’s complexion. However, as he was getting older he was starting to look more like Belle, his thick dark hair was naturally wavy like hers.
It was his first day of elementary school and Belle had to fight back tears, swallowing down the lump in her throat, her baby boy was growing up much too quickly for her liking. Noah looked nervously between his mom and dad as he shrugged his backpack on, reaching down to pet their dog Pip who was running around in circles.
It was Bucky who found his voice first, he had managed to get the morning off of work to see his son off to school, “you look great buddy, so grown up,” his voice sounded strong but when Belle glanced at Bucky she noticed that his bottom lip was quivering, a sure tell for when he was about to cry.
“Thanks dad.”
Noah gave Belle his boyish dimpled grin – that was sure to break tons of hearts in the future – when she kissed his curls, “you look so handsome baby, just like your dad,” Belle grinned and looked over at Bucky who had a slight flush on his cheeks at the compliment.
The three of them left for the elementary school not long after and it was hard to say goodbye to Noah. There were some tears from Belle as she hugged and kissed Noah goodbye, she really did try to hold back her tears. When Noah disappeared into the school Bucky and Belle had a little cry in the car, they were worried that he wouldn’t like it or he’d get bullied and wouldn’t make any friends.
Meanwhile, Noah walked into the brightly coloured room to see tables of four scattered throughout the room. He nervously approached and sat down at a table where a boy and a girl with dark brown hair were already sitting. They both gave Noah a friendly smile which put Noah at ease in an instant.
“Hi, I’m Noah Barnes,” he introduced himself, putting his hand out just like his dad had taught him to do when meeting new people.
The boy smiled before taking Noah’s hand, “I’m Matt Odinson and this is my sister Evie.”
Belle and Bucky really shouldn’t have worried about Noah because when they went to pick Noah up he had a massive grin on his face. On the drive home he gushed to his mom and dad about what a great day that he’d had.
“I met Matt and Evie,” he beamed, “they’re twins and I think they’re gonna be my best friends forever,” he giggled, looking extremely pleased with himself. Bucky and Belle grinned at each other, glad that it all had turned out to be okay.
--------------------------------------------------------------
As the years passed it turned out that Noah had only been half right about being best friends with Matt and Evie forever. He had stayed best friends with Matt but as Noah reached middle school Evie had found her own friends and Noah eventually stopped talking about her. In fact, Noah had hardly seen Evie outside of school until he went to a mutual friend’s birthday party.
Belle had gone to pick him up and she almost laughed to herself when – out of the car window- she noticed Evie giving Noah a tight, long hug. When they pulled away from each other – Evie rather reluctantly – Noah said something to her that made her giggle and toss her hair. Belle could practically see Evie’s blush from where she was sitting, she thought that it was pretty adorable. Noah climbed into the car before Belle could wipe the smirk from her face and unfortunately Noah noticed and he eyed her suspiciously.
“What’s going on mom?” he asked, narrowing his eyes at her and Belle had to work hard to conceal a laugh.
“I think that Evie has a crush on you,” Belle smiled at her thirteen year old as he gave her a disbelieving look, “why don’t you ask her to the dance?”
Noah huffed out a sigh and rolled his eyes, running a hand through his hair, “because mom,” he started, “the dance is lame and I don’t like Evie like that anyway,” he shook his head and opted on looking out of the window, refusing to look at Belle.
A couple more years passed by and Noah only grew more good looking and popular, he’d cut his hair so it wouldn’t naturally turn to waves and his eyes were almost too blue. He was of course still best friends with Matt who was like a brother to him.
“Uh sis, where are you going looking like that?” Matt demanded, halting their game of soccer.
It was actually a nice day so they were making the most of it. Noah glanced at where Matt was glaring and he saw Evie in a royal blue tea dress, that showed off her legs, her recently dyed golden blonde hair fell past her shoulders in loose curls. She sighed, flicking her hair out of her eyes, glaring at her brother.
“I’m going on a date, not that its any of your business.”
Noah bit his lip, trying not to laugh at the identical scowls on the twins’ faces, instead he busied himself with tying the laces on his sneakers, trying to stay out of the conversation as much as possible.
“You are not going out dressed like that!”
Evie let out a shrill laugh before pausing momentarily, “oh god, you’re not joking. Right,” she sounded pissed off now and Noah just knew that she was tossing her hair and fixing her brother with a death glare, “stop trying to be like dad okay? You’re not dad! I’m going out like this whether you like it or not! Keep quiet about what I’m wearing or I’ll tell mom and dad about your little secret,” that shut Matt up straight away and Noah concealed his smirk, he knew what Evie was referring to.
“Alright then, see you later bro. Bye Noah,” at the mention of his name Noah looked up, his eyes started at her sparkly black heels and he glanced up to her face. His blue gaze lingered on her for too long, her smile was bright and her hair sparkled in the late afternoon sunlight.
“See you, have a great time,” Noah smiled, Evie beamed at him before she walked to her car.
“Hey man,” Matt’s voice was in Noah’s ear and an arm was slung around his shoulders, “if you even think about touching my sister, this friendship is over. For good.”
Noah’s eyes almost popped out of his head at Matt’s words, his eyes were so wide that it was comical, “are you kidding me? I respect your friendship too much, you’re my best friend.”
That was the honest truth, Noah thought that Evie was an attractive girl but there was no way in hell that they would ever be together. It wasn’t worth losing Matt.

I Haven’t Been Faking
*Requested* Reader is the daughter of Anna and Kristoff. She meets the VK’s when they first come to Auradon and is really nice to them, which kind of surprises them. Mal thinks it’s a prank but it turns out to be genuine and from that point on she grows a huge crush on you.
Paring: Reader x Mal
Word count: 2,057
A/N: This is set during the first movie. Anyways, I’ve been experiencing writers blog, and this is a bit lame haha. I hope you like it!
Request | Masterlist
(Y/N) could hardly contain her joy; practically buzzing with excitement.
Today was the day that the VK’s, who Prince Ben had personally chosen, was to attend Auradon Prep. You and Ben were probably the only ones who were looking forward to having them here. The rest of the student body tried to express their displeasure by organising a protest, but as soon as it began, it was shut down by Fairy Godmother. Despite that minor setback, you didn’t let it get your spirits down. You were determined to make everyone see that the VK’s weren’t what they feared them to be. But above all, you were just excited to make some new friends.
With a grin and a spring in your step, you ran down the dorm room corridor, not even caring if there was anyone standing in your way. If you did accidentally knock someone over, you’d just blame it on your clumsiness; as you often did. Before long, you reached the edge of stairs before you jumped onto the staircase rail and slid down to the bottom, just like you always did back home in Arendelle. Jumping off the rail and landing on the ground, you stumbled a bit before you gained your footing and bounded for the doors of the main entrance.
Bursting through the doors, your gaze locked onto the future king of Auradon just outside, with Audrey who was hanging off his left arm.
"Hey, guys!” You ran over to them before you greeted them both with a smile.
Ben turned around to see you before he gave you a grin. "Hey (Y/N), I knew you’d be here on time."
“Are you kidding? I wouldn’t miss this for the world!” You exaggerated, throwing your hands up with enthusiasm.
As Ben was about to answer you, he was cut off by Audrey, "Hang on, you're not actually supporting this insane proclamation, are you (Y/N)?”
“Why not?” You questioned with a snort, staring at her incredulously, "Its defiantly time for a change, Audrey!"
Ben smiled brightly at you, he knew he could always count on you to back him up with your infectious optimism. However, Audrey just rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"You cannot be serious," Audrey scoffed rolling her eyes, "Well, I, for one think it's a terrible idea."
"Come on Audrey, just give them a chance," Ben pleaded as he stared into his girlfriend's eyes.
After a while Audrey sighed, indicating to Ben that he had won this fight, "Oh alright, anything for my Benny Boo, but I still think it's a terrible idea.”
(Y/N) simply ignored her blatant display of distaste. You had no time for that kind of negativity in your life.
Suddenly, the sound of heels suddenly caught the three teens attention, they all turned around to see Fairy Godmother rushing out from the entrance of the school towards them with a marching band in tow.
'Is a marching band really that necessary? We don't want to scare them off with the bands horrible playing,’ (Y/N) thought as the marching band began to set up beside them. Students stood on the grass, with blue and gold flags in hand, preparing to welcome the new students.
"How wonderful, you three are already out here to welcome the new students!" Fairy Godmother beamed with delight. "Would you three be able to show the new students around for me after introductions?" Fairy Godmother asked kindly, clasping her hands together.
Audrey was about to protest when you elbowed her in the rib, and smiled sweetly, "Of course Fairy Godmother, we would love to show them around!”
Audrey glared at you, in which you gave her a cheery grin back. Fairy Godmother then gasped excitedly, "Oh! Here they come, everybody look alive!”
On cue, the marching band started to play a loud cheery tune and the students started waving their flags with enthusiasm. You could feel your heart speed up, you couldn't believe that you were going to meet the descendants of villains from the Isle of the Lost. You began fixing up your (h/c) hair and smoothed out your (f/c) coloured dress, before you clasped your hands in front of you, putting on your best smile.
The limo came to a stop and the driver immediately stepped out of the car. The driver then made his way to the back of the car before he stopped at the last door and opened it.
A boy that was as young as fourteen that had black and white hair, white at the tips and black at the roots, fair skin that was covered in light freckles, and had red, black and white clothing came tumbling out of the limo while kicking, yelling and screaming. He was followed by another boy, who looked about eighteen. He had long dark hair, a red beanie on his head, dark olive skin, muscular build and his clothes had a colour palette of dark browns, reds and yellows. They were both fighting and arguing over some type of scarf. Not exactly the kind of entrance you were expecting, but it sure was funny.
Two girls that both looked about sixteen, also emerged from the limo, manoeuvring around the two fighting boys. The first one had beautiful long ocean blue hair but her fringe was pulled back into a V-braid. She perfect fair skin and her clothes were a mix of blue, black and white. Around her neck was a ruby red necklace that was shaped like a heart.
However, the second one made your heart skip a beat and caused your cheeks to burn. She had curly purple hair that reached just a little bit over her shoulders, piercing green eyes, fair skin and her outfit consisted of the colours of green, magenta, black and dark purple. You couldn’t keep your eyes off her, nor did you want to.
The marching band came to a stop and the students ceased cheering and waving their flags. The marching band parted way, as Fairy Godmother walked over to them with a smile and her arms open wide as if she was going to hug them, Ben, Audrey and (Y/N) followed closely behind Fairy Godmother.
"Guys, guys, we have an audience," The girl with the purple hair hissed. The two boys immediately stopped quarrelling, while the blue haired girl twirled in delight, taking in the scenery.
"Just cleaning up!" The boy with the long dark hair let out a chuckle while smiling at Fairy Godmother. "Get up," He hissed at the younger boy who he then pulled up roughly, chocolate was evident all around his mouth.
"Leave it like you found it ~" Fairy Godmother sang cheerfully, "And by that, I mean just leave it.”
The older boy threw the items that he had into the back of the limo hesitantly. The purple haired girl then locked eyes with you and you could’ve of sworn that her eyes flashed. She flashed a slight smirk in your direction which made a pleasurable shiver run down your back. The others started to notice that you and the purple haired girl were staring intensely at each other for far too long.
Fairy Godmother then stuck her head in between the two of you, to break up the staring contest you two were appearing to be having.
"Welcome to Auradon Prep. I'm Fairy Godmother," Fairy Godmother introduced before doing a little curtsy, "Headmistress."
The purple haired girl eyes widened, "The Fairy Godmother? As in bippity-boppity-boo?"
"Bippity-boppity-you know it," Fairy Godmother nodded. You snorted at the pun.
"Yeah, I always wondered what it felt like for Cinderella, when you just appeared out of nowhere." The purple haired girl chuckled with a smile, "With that sparkly wand and warm smile, and that sparkly wand!"
"That was a long time ago, and as I always say, don't focus on the past or you'll miss the future!" Fairy Godmother smiled, waving her hands in front of her as she quoted her saying.
The four villain kids just stood there, looking at the Fairy Godmother like she was loopy. 'Well, I can't blame them...she sorta is loopy,’ You thought, as your mind wandered.
"It's so good to finally meet you all," Ben stepped forward, along with Audrey and (Y/N), "I'm Ben."
"Prince Benjamin!" Audrey corrected quickly with a grin, "Soon to be king!"
The dark blue haired girl suddenly lit up and walked towards Ben, "You had me at prince. My mum's a queen which makes me a princess."
"The Evil Queen has no royal status here, and neither do you." Audrey glared at the girl. The dark blue haired girls smile flattered and she backed away. Audrey’s nasty comment made you feel sad for the poor girl.
"This is Audrey," Ben introduced with an awkward chuckle.
"Pleased to meet you all!" You smiled brightly.
Bouncing up and down, you proceeded to hug each of the villain kids. When you reached the purple haired girl, you wrapped your arms around her tightly and held onto her for longer than it was necessary. She didn’t seem to mind it nor fighting it, so you continued to hold her.
“Okay, (Y/N), I think that’s enough hugging,” Ben suggested with an awkward chuckle, prying you off the purple haired girl. "Sorry, she’s a little friendly when it comes to meeting new people,” Ben apologised, patting your shoulder softly.
You let out a chuckle as you felt the heat rising to your cheeks. The girl whose name you needed to know, was clearly flustered as well.
After you had shortly introduced yourself, you had gotten to learn the VK’s names. The boy with black and white hair was Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil. The purple haired girl was Mal, daughter of Maleficent, Mistress of all Evil. Jay was obviously the son of Jafar, and the dark blue haired girl was Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen.
Ben had just started the tour of Auradon Prep but was soon called to attend to his princely duties. You were then instructed by Audrey to give the four Isle kids a tour of Auradon Prep — not that you didn’t mind.
You had shown them every possible place you could think of, even the gardens, but everywhere you went, the unlikely group received a lot of stares throughout the day. But for most of the tour, you didn't seem to notice their stares as you were too busy focusing on Mal. You'd be lying if you said that you hadn’t flirted with her on a number of occasions during the tour. You loved the reactions you got out of her when you'd say flirting pick up lines here and there. Her cheeks were a brighter red than Peter Pan’s feather!
The whole time (Y/N) was flirting, Mal couldn’t help but think to herself, this has got to be a joke. She eyed the girl suspiciously. She was way too perfect. No way was she potentially flirting with her — she had to be faking it somehow. As if someone like her, a princess, would be interested in a villain like her.
As (Y/N) was about to use yet another pickup line or flirty joke on her, Mal let out a frustrated sigh before she let out a low hiss, “Quit doing that.”
You turned to her, raising an eyebrow in question, “Beg your pardon?"
“That — flirting with me. Stop acting like you’re really interested in me,” Mal muttered under her breath so that her friends wouldn’t hear.
"Act? Whatever do you mean?” You whispered in confusion. You had no idea what she was talking about.
“You’re not really into to me, are you? You and I both know that your happiness and interest in me is fake. Admit it — you hate us and would rather be off doing something else instead of showing us around."
You were surprised at her words. “But Mal, that’s where you’re wrong,” You told her with a soft smile “You see, I haven’t been faking anything. Especially not my interest in you. I don’t hate, not at all. The flirting is purely and completely on purpose."
Mal shut her mouth and stayed silent; her cheeks still red. It suddenly dawned on her that she had a massive crush on you — Mal was head over heels for you and you were head over heels for her.

Discord Thread : Evie and Joon’s first date.
Summary: The day after the valentine’s party, Joon waits for evie outside her dorm and they go on a day date in the city. Lot’s of bad decisions are made resulting in them deciding to see each other in secret.
Joon Woo
Joon has gotten ready early that morning, over eager to see Evie again even for just a moment. Pulling a book out of his bag, he sat on the steps to the Dorm 30 minutes earlier than he thought she would be out and read.
Evangeline
Evie woke up normally, grabbing her phone instantly. She frowned seeing there were only a few texts from the girls and sighed. Maybe she dreamt it all. She got dressed, getting ready to head to the cafe to study like she did every sunday. She opened the door, surprised to see Joon sitting there reading. Her heart jumped out of her chest. "Hey."was all she managed to stumble out. he looked so good in the morning sun she might have fainted.
Joon Woo
Hearing Evie’s voice, Joon’s head popped up out of the book and turned to look at her, a soft smile covering his features. “Good Morning,” he shut the book. “I’m here for morning check in but I thought we could do it over coffee.”
Evangeline
It wasn't a dream then. she smiled to herself. "oh? uhm..okay. i was just heading to the campus cafe." she said to him. "so sounds uh...perfect." she wasn't expecting this and was clearly flustered, a red hue covering her skin.
Joon Woo
“The campus cafe works or you could chaperone me off campus and we could go to a cafe that’s ten minutes away without prying eyes.” Joon suggested, hoping she would get the hint.
Evangeline
"well the cafe has grea-" she started before it clicked. oh. Was this...was this a date? "yeah that sounds good." she agreed.
Joon Woo
“We don’t have to if you prefer the campus cafe,” he told her, shoving the book back in his bag and standing up. “We can speak more freely off campus though.”
Evangeline
" i'd go with you anywhere. i mean uhm, that it sounds nice to go..off campus! so yeah. i'm down." she rambled.
Joon Woo
“You’re cute.” He chuckled, offering his hand to help her down the stairs. “Follow me then.”
Evangeline
She blushed, embarrassed, but took his hand as they walked down the stairs. "are you sure this is okay?" she whispered to him. It was really early and she assumed most of the students would still be sleeping the party off. "and how did you know i'd be awake? you didn't text me."
Joon Woo
“Why wouldn’t it be okay? Nobody will be around to see us. If you don’t want to go then we don’t have to.” He said, letting her hand go once she was down the stairs . “You come find me at the same time every day. I just guessed and it worked out.”
Evangeline
"no no. i want to go. just..last night it seemed much more Romeo and Juliet. Mr. and Mrs. Smith sneak around kind of thing?" she shrugged. "wow. guess you're lucky." she teased.
Joon Woo
You want me to come scream at your window in the middle of the night?” Joon asked with a smirk. “I think it has something to do with you.” He said, beginning the walk towards the cafe, hands in his pockets.
Evangeline
Well if a boy won’t scream through a girls window what’s the point?” She sighed dramatically. She walked beside him, hands around her books, excitement practically radiating off of her. “I’ve never been to one of the ones off campus before.”
Joon Woo
“It’s not very subtle for sneaking around. If you want to get caught then it’s great.” He rolled his eyes, picking up the pace to get off campus faster. “Why not?”
Evangeline
hmm fine. Then at minimum we must fake our deaths but then really die.” She she said pushing his buttons a bit. He started to walk faster and she didn’t the same. “I don’t know. I just...didn’t? I went for like book shops or like a night out. I guess the campus one was just closer?
Joon Woo
“I can make that happen. It’s more subtle.” He replied, teasing her. “I wouldn’t have suggested this one if we didn’t have to be secretive but I want to be able to talk to you without having to think about Neith.”
Evangeline
“oh I can’t wait.” She giggled. “Hey, I really am excited to go. I love trying new things, and this one is even more special because it’s with you.” She blushed. “That probably sounds pretty lame”
Joon Woo
Once they were far enough away Joon reached out for her hand, wanting more than to feel her fingers intertwined with his. “One night together and now going to a cafe with me is special?” He smirked, messing with her. It was special to him too.
Evangeline
Evie almost instantly gave him her hand, a warm feeling covering her body. "well....yeah." she said suddenly embarrassed. she sounded like a love sick school girl. Cause she was one. "it's not for you?"
Joon Woo
“I didn’t say that,” he squeezed her hand reassuring her. “If I didn’t care then I would have gone to the campus cafe with you but I didn’t want that.”
Evangeline
Evie grinned, laying her head on his shoulder as they walked, getting closer to the campus gates. "Evangeline Clover. We're going off campus for a day." she said holding out up her badge for security to scan.
Joon Woo
Joon let go of her hand and moved away once they got to the gate. The last thing he wanted was for either of them to be in trouble and have to get a new sponsor.
Evangeline
After signing them out Evie lead Joon through the gates, the wind from the ocean below whipping around them as they got onto the bridge. "Want to drive?" she asked, holding up a pair of keys. "i signed out a car while you were getting scanned." she winked. Techincally VRP kids couldn't have sign them out. but nothing said she couldn't.
Joon Woo
“Drive?” Joon’s eyes grew wide as he looked at the keys in her hand. It had been a long time since he had driven a car, let alone touched one. “Do you trust me not to kidnap you and run away?” He joked, reaching out for the car keys.
Evangeline
"only if you promise to not bring me back." she joked, placing the keys in his hand. the tips of her fingers, grazing his palm a little longer than necessary. They student rental cars we're super fancy, but they were nice. They were made so if students needed to go to the city for any reason they could, without cluttering the campus with vehicles. All about aesthetic. "don't kill me okay?" she said walking to the passenger side.
Joon Woo
“Did Clyde bring back Bonnie?” he winked at her before turning his attention to the car. It was nicer than anything he had driven before. “I’m doing my best to keep you alive.” Joon told her, unlocking the car and getting inside to start it.
Evangeline
Evie slid into the passenger seat and once Joon was in, leaned over. She grabbed his face bringing in to hers, kissing him slowly before pulling away. "let's go." she smiled, sitting back in her seat
Joon Woo
Joon smiled into the kiss, happy to finally feel her lips against his again. “I think I need one more or I’ll be a distracted driver.” He smirked leaning over the console to try and kiss her.
Evangeline
"fine one more. than we need to go. we have to have you back before sunset." she laughed, leaning over to give him a kiss. granted, it was still early morning, but she wanted as much time as possible.
Joon Woo
Joon grinned when he got another kiss, pushing the key into the ignition and starting the car. “Cafe first?” He asked, turning to back out of the parking spot.
Evangeline
"This was your idea. I'm simply along for the ride." she smiled. She toyed with a strand of her hair, wrapping and unwrapping the green tips around her finger. "however, i do need coffee to function so ...”she giggled.
Joon Woo
“I wanted to spend time with you. alone.” He said, reaching his arm over to place on her thigh. Pulling out of the spot, he started driving in the direction of the cafe. “Coffee does sound good.”
Evangeline
"than alone you shall have me." she said trying to not squirm under his touch. Images of the night before flashed through her mind, and she pulled a little harder on her hair. "So uhm..have you been to this place before?" she asked.
Joon Woo
”Good,” he glanced over at her, noticing the way she was tugging on her hair. “Are you okay?” His brows furrowed together in worry.
Evangeline
Evie was sort of lost i her own world, part of her tom lip between her teeth. "YEAH" she answered to loudly. "I mean, yes. totally. im fine. why do you ask?"
Joon Woo
Glancing over at her, he responded, “Because you’re biting your lip the way you did last night.” Joon teased her, letting his hand slowly run farther up her thigh as he continued to drive.
Evangeline
Evie let go of her lip, hand gripping the door handle. "well uhm you're uh..hand." she said gesturing to wear his hand rested at the hem of her skirt. "it made me think of yesterday."
Joon Woo
Parking, Joon stopped the car and turned to face her fully, fingers playing with the hem of her skirt. “Did you enjoy last night? You never actually told me.”
Evangeline
Evie looked around. "is the cafe here?" she said not seeing anything when he parked. But then he was turned to face her and she flushed. "I uhm...mhm." she hummed with a nod.
Joon Woo
“It’s around the corner.” He explained, squeezing her thigh firmly. “Mhm?” he hummed back as a question for more clarification.
Evangeline
"oh poker chips." she muttered when he squeezed. "i enjoyed last night...." she said eyes staring at his hand on her. her breathing shallowed, in a good way. "joon...it's...really early."
Joon Woo
“Oh poker chips?” He chuckled at the saying. Leaning close, Joon whispered, “Then let’s go get coffee, baby girl.”
Evangeline
"do you enjoy making me more of a mess than I already am?" she asked him. "it's something i say to curb my cursing.
Joon Woo
“You aren’t a mess but I do like seeing you squirm,” he admitted with a smirk. “You’re cute but maybe instead I should occupy your lips a different way.” Joon said, leaning in.
Evangeline
Evie undid her seat belt, moving so she was facing him as well. "well you're cuter." she answered. "what did you have in mind?"
Joon Woo
Unclicking his own seat belt, he reached out, touching her cheek before he closed the space and kissed her deeply.
Evangeline WASNT really the hot make out in public type of girl. But something about joon changed that for her. She was putty in his hands or rather, on his lips. She let out a small moan, practically climbing over the rest test to him
Joon Woo
Joon’s fingers tangled in her hair as he kissed her, passion growing each second that went by. “Fuck,” he mumbled when she let out a soft moan and nibbled on her tom lip, hoping to hear it again
Evangeline
he bit her lip and she moaned again, finally making it across the arm rest to his lap. She kissed him hard before finally forcing herself to stop, burying her head in the crook of his neck. “We should uhm...cool down. We’re in public.” She panted, her lips grazing his neck as she spoke.
Joon Woo
His arms wrapped around her waist as soon as she was on his lap, holding her in place there. “I thought you liked a little danger,” he smirked at her. “But sure we can stop.” Joon’s breathing slowed back to normal, his heart rate threatening to rise again as he lips grazed his neck.
Evangeline
“what are you gonna do? Fuck me in the middle of the city? In broad daylight?” She asked him, thinking he was joking.
Joon Woo
“If you want me to,” he whispered, the feeling of her breath against his neck causing his brain to go into hyperdrive. The only thing he could think about was taking her into the backseat. “You’ve never been fucked in the middle of the city in broad daylight?”
Evangeline
“Joon...” She warned every though her body was pulsating. “I can’t say I have. I’ll add it to my to do list.” She shook her head, chuckling. “Calm down puppet.”
Joon Woo
“We could check that box right now,” he mumbled, one arm unsnaking so that he could touch her thigh again, his hand slowly moving up and down it as he made little shapes in her skin with his fingertips. “I’m trying..”
Evangeline
“are you ? Because it feels like...” she had to stop talking to compose herself. “It feels like you’re just reving me up more.” She got out. Placing one more kiss on his lips she reached behind and opened the door. She used a hair tie to tie up her hair in a messy bun, and breathe some fresh air. “I’m just,..not ready to take it that far in public just yet.” She said to him shyly, though her panties may have disagreed.
Joon Woo
“Maybe...” he trailed off, not sure what to tell her. Before he knew it she had left the car, leaving him alone in his seat. As disappointed as he was it was quickly overshadowed when he glanced outside to see her putting her hair up. How could someone like her be so beautiful? She was good which wasn’t a quality he usually went for but there she was being the most attractive person he had ever met so effortlessly. It was hard for him to comprehend. “Then coffee it is.” Joon said, turning the car off and getting out before locking the rental.
Evangeline
Evie turned, smiling at him before heading off in the direction he said the shop was. “Hey are you coming or you gonna stay there staring all day?” She teased.
Joon Woo
“It’s hard to focus on anything but that piece of art on your neck when you’re displaying it like that.” He winked, walking up to where she was and taking her hand in his.
Evangeline
what?”she said and remembered the hickey, her hand shooting up to cover her neck. “I completely forgot about that, I should put my hair back down.” She groaned. She was so hot though.
Joon Woo
“Or you could just keep it up.” He smirked, kissing the top of her hand. “I like seeing it.”
Evangeline
“it’s not very...appropriate.” Evie blushed, but removed her hands and kept her hair up. “So, have you been to this place before?” She asked trying to change to subject.
Joon Woo
“What do you mean? It’s obviously just a burn.” He smirked, winking at her. “No but I wanted to go somewhere new.” Joon told her, leading her to the front door and opening it for her.
Evangeline
a Evie pushed him playfully, butterflies in her stomach, they walked into the coffee shop and she smiled. “Oh it’s adorable in here!” She gasped looking at all the art work on the wall.
Joon Woo
Joon smiled at her, not sure why he felt the way he did. She made him want to be the kind of guy who opened doors for others and he had never been like that before. “You’re adorable,” he whispered, walking up behind her and kissing her cheek.
Evangeline
“shut up. “ evie smiled , holding his hands in front of her. She leaned back into him while she looked at the menu. “What are you ordering?” She asked tilting her head back to look at him
Joon Woo
Placing his chin on top of her head, he looked up at the menu. “A cappuccino. What about you?” Joon questioned, kissing her forehead when she looked back at him.
Evangeline
I like lattes. Vanilla,” she answered. “Oh I hope they have muffins. Id die for a blueberry muffin.” She said excitedly. She giggled when he kissed her forehead. So affectionate. He was so different from the person she had met a few weeks ago.
Joon Woo
“I’ll be right back then.” He pulled his body away from hers, walking to the counter to order for them. Paying, he waited for their items before taking them back to Evie. Handing her the muffin and latte, he smiled at her. Standing there in the moment he realized how different things had become, how much he had changed in such a short amount of time for a woman.
Evangeline
the cold from the absence of his body hit her and she sighed, going to find a table. She stared out the window, a content smile on her face. “Thanks.” She said when joon returned. “How much was it ? I can send it to you.” She offered. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?” Evie asked when he was staring at her.
Joon Woo
“You don’t need to send it to me,” he rolled his eyes at her. Was it a date if he paid? Who cared. Honestly he just thought she deserved something nice and he could afford coffee and a muffin so why not? “Look at you like what?” He frowned, realizing he had been staring too long, lost in his thoughts. “I wasn’t looking at you like anything.” Joon said, sitting down in front of her and take a sip from his cup.
Evangeline
“joon..,are we uhm. Is this a date?” She felt the need to ask. She should have dressed up prettier. Granted she didn’t know she was being hijacked but still. She sipped at her latte, staring into the form. “Yes you were.” She teased him.“What we’re you thinking about?
Joon Woo
“Do you want this to be a date?” He asked carefully, not sure what the right answer was. Truthfully he had never been on a real date. Neith was the only person that he kept around for long periods of time and she didn’t like romance as far as he knew. Every time he tried something with her she would tease him about it so he had stopped himself a long time ago. “How you’ve changed me in one night.” Joon admitted, letting his guard down for a moment before it raised back up.
Evangeline
“do you?” She asked wanting him to answer. “I don’t want it to be if you don’t want it too....” she explained. Without a word she moved to the other side of the table with him, their legs grazing one another. “I didn’t change anything. You’ve always been this person.” She shook her head. “He was just hidden away.”
Joon Woo
“I’ve never been on a date.” Was all he said before taking a long sip of his hot coffee, not sure what else to say on the subject. He had never been on a date. He didn’t know how they worked or what you were actually supposed to do. “No, I haven’t. You have too much hope for me, Evie. I’m here for a reason and it’s not because I wanted to be a hero like you.”
Evangeline
Evie was surprised to hear that. Joon was attractive, as certainly experienced. She has only assumed it was from practice. “ okay. Then we’re on a date.” She said scooting over some . “But it’s a first date so, no more touching other than hand holding.” She said to him. She disagreed. “You’re here because you made a mistake. But you can always turn it around. Everyone has good in them. The same as everyone has bad. You just didn’t know where to look for it.”
Joon Woo
“No touching at all?” He frowned at the prospect of no more kisses. If this was what a date meant then he didn’t want it, at least not when they were in private. He could live without public affection. “I don’t think we should talk about it anymore. It’s a draw out story. I’ve heard it a hundred times from lawyers, the judge, the teachers - everyone.” Joon sighed, finishing his coffee.
Evangeline
“not on a first date. Not until the end.” She answered, moving so their arms just barely grazed. “First dates are about getting to know each other. The tension of an almost touch.” She said softly, looking over at him as she placed her hand a inch away from his. “Okay. If it is what you believe. I will gladly take the blame for this change.”
Joon Woo
“And at the end?” He asked, the feeling of the missed touch causing the hair on his arms to rise, tension building. His hand moving slightly as his pinkie reached for hers. “Why did you want to become a hero?” Joon asked after she agreed to take the blame.
Evangeline
“ well depends...” She trailed off, a smirk on her face “ because....I’ve done bad things to people in the past. And I can’t make up for them. But I can help other people. Try to be better. “
Joon Woo
“Depends on what?” He asked, running his pinkie over hers softly. “I can’t imagine you doing a bad thing to anyone.”
Evangeline
“well, if it goes bad. I’ll kiss you on the cheek when we get back. But if it goes good...” she said leaning over to whisper in his ear. “I’ll let you fuck me in broad daylight.” She muttered before sitting back down, taking a bite of her muffin. “I told you,..I’m not as good as you think I am. I’ve made mistakes.”
Joon Woo
Joon’s eyes rolled back and he closed his eyes at the thought, biting his lip hard to not react immediately. He wanted it to go good before but now he needed it to go good. “You can’t say thing like that and then look so cute like you didn’t just say that to me.” He leaned back, watching her innocently eat her muffin. “What kind of mistakes?”
Evangeline
“Say a thing like what?” She asked him, eyes batting innocently. “Bad ones.” She sighed, starting to lose her appetite as she thought about it
Joon Woo
“You know what you did.” He mumbled, chewing on his lip as the thought consumed him. “I’ve killed people too but the fact that you call it a mistake means you didn’t mean for it to happen which doesn’t make you a bad person. Just a person who’s lived with tragedy.”
Evangeline
"hmph." she shrugged, ripping off another piece of the muffin and popping it into her mouth. Evie didn't respond to him. she didn't want to talk about it today. to ruin how he saw her. good. "do you want to try some of this muffin? It's really good." she said changing the subject. She ripped off some of the top holding it up for him.
Joon Woo
Joon noticed when she didn’t say anything in response to him saying she wasn’t a bad person. He understood what it was like so he left it alone, playing along with the subject change. “I don’t like blueberries.” He shook his head, glancing out the window of the cafe at passerby’s.
Joon Woo
Joon pouted when she called him a pervert, shoving his hands in his pockets to make her feel more comfortable. Turns out he isn’t great on dates. He was used to be handsy and only physical so everything else he was learning and it wasn’t as easy as he thought it was going to be. “I’m sorry.” He words came out as a whisper. It was the first time he had said it in years.
Evangeline
Evie saw the change in his demeanor and stopped, putting her hands on his face. "hey i was only teasing." she said to him. she leaned up kissing his cheek. "besides i like it." she said to him.
Joon Woo
Joon stopped before he ran into her, looking down at her in confusion. “I won’t do it again. I don’t know how dates work...I’m just used to...” He trailed off, feeling her lips against his cheek. The hint of a smile broke through and he gave a small nod.
Evangeline
"we're sort of doing this out of order. so i guess i'm not the best teacher considering every time you look at me i- never mind." she stopped herself from rambling something highly inappropriate. "point is, as fun as the physical stuff is. a point of a date is to spend time together. to get closer." she moved her hand from his face, down his shoulder and arm, until their hands were interlocked. "there's no right. or wrong way. just be yourself puppet."
Joon Woo
“Everytime I look at you?” He asked, encouraging her to finish the sentence as curiosity got the better of him. His features softened as she outlined his body, their hands locking together. It was a strange feeling to have her holding his hand - a good strange. “Okay, then let’s continue where we were at in my room. What’s your favorite animal?”
Evangeline
"it's not first date appropriate." she shook her head. "and you've got enough trouble keeping your hands to yourself. maybe i'll tell you later." she smiled. She lead him forward, their hands still interlocked as they walked. Evie, still walking backwards. "Hmm...turtles!" she giggled. "specifically sea turtles. but they're all cool. What's yours?"
Joon Woo
Joon raised a brow, only growing more curious as she spoke. “Only maybe?” He questioned, wondering what he could do to hear the rest of her sentence. “Sea turtles? Is it because they’re green?” He teased. “Mine are crows.”
Evangeline
"you're not gonna let this go are you? i'm telling you, you don't want to know." she replied, eyebrow raising. "No. i've liked them since i was a kid. and green wasn't always my favorite. they're just old and wise and have seen SO much of the world." she said to him. "I KNEW IT! I knew you had a favorite."
Joon Woo
“Nope. I definitely want to know.” He smirked at her. “What used to be your favorite color?” Joon laughed at her outburst. “I thought about it after you asked me.”
Evangeline
She sighed, pulling him to the side of the side walk. They were in public and the sidewalks were busy now. His funeral. She pulled him down to whisper is in his ear. "everytime i catch you looking at me, my entire body burns to feel you again. all i can think about is you hiking my skirt up and marking every inch of my body as your hands roam it." she said before taking a step back. "oh, and may favorite color used to be pink." she shrugged. "anyway, the pop up should be around here somewhere."
Joon Woo
Joon bit down hard on his lip as she spoke, trying his hardest not to think about the words, worried he wouldn’t be able to focus on anything else if he did. “Fuck Evie,” he practically moaned in desperation, moving his hands to grab her hips once she took a step back. “Oh no you don’t get to say something like that to me and then walk away.”
Evangeline
"I told you, that you didn't want to know." she said, letting out a gasp as he grabbed her. If she was a weaker woman, her legs may have given up right there. "Puppet, we're in the middle of a very busy street." she chuckled, looking up at him and placing a feather light kiss on his lips. "you have no choice but to let me do just that." she whispered against them. "now...come on. we're gonna miss our time slot." she smirked.
Joon Woo
“I did want to know,” was all he could manage before she spoke again. “I can’t get something better than that at least?” He huffed in frustration, his body screaming out for her.
Evangeline
"nope." she smiled, her lips making a popping noise one the P. she pryed herself from his grip and started around the corner. "come on" she said, pulling his hand. There was a line outside but it wasn't terribly long since it was still morning. "this is going to be so fun." she smiled, hands clapping a little.
Joon Woo
Joon groaned when she refused, sighing and walking with her. He smiled, happy to see her so excited. “I hope so.”
Evangeline
They stood inline for a few moments, but soon enough they were inside. it smelled like candy and there were tons of things for them to taste and take pictures of. "oh can we go to the illusion room first?"
Joon Woo
“We can go wherever you want to go first.” He told her, taking hold of her hand once more.
Evangeline
"yes!" she cheered, kissing his cheek again and taking them over to the illusion room. "okay climb into the table i'll take a picture." she smiled looking over at him.
Joon Woo
Joon lit up when she kissed his cheek, eye touch sending electricity through his body. “Are you sure?” He raised a brow at her. “Why don’t I take your picture instead?”
Evangeline
"i'll go next! come on come on please." she begged, eyes large as she stared up at him.
Joon Woo
Sighing loudly, he walked over to where she wanted him. “There will be proof you checked me out if you take this picture.”
Evangeline
"I'll put them in an extra locked folder." she promised him. "now smile " evie instructed holding up the camera.
Joon Woo
“What other photos do you have in that folder?” He smirked, thoughts getting the better of him. Instead of smiling he stood there like he normally would, waiting for her to take it
Evangeline
Evie raised an eyebrow, rolling her eyes. she took the picture staring at it for a moment. even not smiling, he looked like a model. she blushed a bit, looking back over at him. "okay, do that one." she said pointing to another one of the illusions.
Joon Woo
“Oh no, it’s your turn now.” He said walking up to her, reaching for her phone to take a picture of her.
Evangeline
"fine." she pouted and went over to the chair illusion. deciding to tease him, she posed seriously. "how's this?" she asked, making her voice deep in mock seduction.
Joon Woo
Taking the phone from her, he got ready to take the photo, winking from behind the camera. “Beautiful.”
Evangeline
she posed a few more times before coming over and looking at the pictures. “These look so good!” She said happily. She went over to the next attraction, a scene filled with fake clouds and pulled him next to her. “You better smile for this one.” She giggled, setting up her camera and placing the timer on. She pulled him next to her, wrapping her arms around his torso.
Joon Woo
“It’s hard for them to come out bad when you’re the focus of the image.” He told her, watching as she flipped through the photos. Following her, he stood in place as she ran to set up the camera, smiling as she wrapped her arms around him. Without thinking about it, he placed a kiss on the top of her head.
Evangeline
“no way. It takes forever for me to get a good photo normally.” She said to him. She felt him kiss her forehead and she looked up, reaching and arm out to bring his lips to hers. she had set the camera to burst so luckily had gotten all three photos. “I like this one best.” She said showing them to him, the image of his smile making her heart melt. She saved them into the locked folders. “Hmm let’s doo, ooh the daaaaaaark room.” She joked making her voice spooky.
Joon Woo
“I don’t believe that.” He replied truthfully. Kissing her, he closed his eyes letting the moment take him, forgetting the camera for a moment. It was nice to just in the moment with her. “All of the ones with you are the best.” Joon smiled at her, “I’ll follow you anywhere.”
Evangeline
“you’re so cute.” She giggled. She lead them towards the dark room. “Apparently it’s pitch black and the exhibit is all sound based!” She said excitedly. “It’s early so we should have to ourselves.” She explained.
Joon Woo
“Pitch black?” He smirked, thoughts going somewhere they shouldn’t have in such a public place. “Maybe I can finally get you to kiss me in there.” Joon joked, acting like she hadn’t kissed him at all.
Evangeline
“Yeah. You’re not scared of the dark are you?” She asked before he mentioned kissing her again. She smiled to herself, a devious a little plan forming. “Come on puppet.” She said pulling him in the door. They closed behind them, leaving them in darkness. She let go of his hand.
Joon Woo
“Scared?” He stifled a chuckle, finding the thought humorous. Letting her pull him into the dark room. Everything was just as she said, pitch black. “Where’re you going?”
Evangeline
Evie giggled in the darkness. “Lucky Charm.” she said and her eyes glowed green for a moment. Then the darkness was back. She moved around the room effortlessly, somehow avoiding him. “Catch me if you can.” She sang. She slowly removed her panties, tucking them in his pocket. Then she slunk back into the shadows.
Joon Woo
Joon caught a glimpse of her glowing eyes in the dark. “A game of cat and mouse?” He smirked, trying his best to find her in the dim lighting.
Evangeline
“Check your pockets.” She said into one of the pipes, making her voice echo around the room. “Find me before our time is up, and you’ll get the prize you seek. Good luck!” She giggled.
Joon Woo
Reaching his hand into his pocket, Joon raised a brow in confusion. The fabric hadn’t been there before. Pulling it out, he tried figuring out what the damp fabric was and then it hit him. “Are these yours, Sugar Cube?” He smirked, instincts taking over as he searched more desperately, his arms outreached.
Evangeline
“sugar cube? Do you think I’m sweet?” Evie giggled. “You do make me melt.” She said keeping sure to her distance as she circled him. “Tick tock puppet.”
Joon Woo
“I might, especially if you come stand in my arms where you belong.” Joon said, trying his best to convince her to join him while still searching.
Evangeline
“but wheres the fun in that?” She teased. “Fine I’ll give you a hint. You’re getting colder.” Her voice echoed.
Joon Woo
“I’ll show you just how much fun it could be.” He followed the sound of her voice, trying to catch her blinded by the darkness. “Sugar Cube, what am I going to do without another kiss? What if I disappear in the dark and never make it out?”
Evangeline
Evie stopped moving feeling him pass by her. She moved behind him. “I’ll always bring you back to the light puppet.” She whispered behind him, trailing a hand down his back before backing into the wall. “Lucky charm bring him to me. .” She said again, her eyes glowing for a moment again.
Joon Woo
Seeing her eyes light up again, Joon walked in the direction until he hit a wall. “Fuck,” he groaned in frustration. Backing up he backed into another body, quickly turning around and grabbing hold of her waist. “There you are, Sugar Cube.” Joon smirked.
Evangeline
Evie gasped hearing him hit a wall, almost reaching out for him. But then he finally got to her, holding her in place. “Are you okay?” She asked, the seduction gone from her voice as she held his face in her hands. “Sorry...I shouldn’t have used lucky charm.”
Joon Woo
“I’m good now.” He whispered, leaning his cheek into the palm of her head before moving to place a kiss in it’s spot. “I caught you, it doesn’t matter how.” Joon told her leaning in, he kissed her cheek before his lips trailed down her jaw, sprinkling kisses as it moved.
Evangeline
“Just so you know, this isn’t a normal first date activity.” she mumbled against his lips. She bit her lip too herself from being vocal as his mouth moved across her torso.
Joon Woo
“I wouldn’t know. It’s how my first day is going.” He smirked, pushing her softly against the nearest wall, his fingertips grazing the skin of her thighs softly. Joon’s lips found their way back to hers as he grabbed h of her thighs firmly, moving from the wall just enough to pick her up and hold her against it.
Evangeline
“are you having a good time?” She asked him. She laughed as he lifted her up hands and legs locking behind him. She shivered as the cool air hit under her skirt. “I didn’t realize how strong you were.” She said before lightly biting his lip.
Joon Woo
“I’m having a great time.” He responded, squeezing her thighs as she locked them. “Did you think I was weak?” Joon asked, letting his lips trail down her neck, stopping to make her old love bite even larger.
Evangeline
“I didn’t say that...” she breathed out, letting out a hiss as he attacked her neck. “Hey hey.” She said moving her head back a bit. “You can’t keep marking me up. Not visibly anyway. What about your psycho ex? “ she shook her head.
Joon Woo
“Where can I mark you up then? Everywhere else?” His smirk was mischievous as he thought about all the parts of body he could leave his mark. “She isn’t my ex. We’ve never actually been together. She just doesn’t like when I give other woman attention.”
Evangeline
“you can only mark me, if I get to mark you.” She said to him seriously. “Deal?” He mentioned neith not being his ex and she had to admit she was a bit confused. “But you ...did this ? Things....with her?” She asked.
Joon Woo
Joon stopped, pulling his head away from her neck with a sigh. “Then I can’t mark you. I want to but if Neith sees a hair out place she’ll know.” He hated that Neith was coming between them. It felt like a weight forever held over him. “We did things like this, yes.”
Evangeline
“Wait...you’re still gonna do things with her?” She asked, suddenly feeling very insecure. She had no right to tell him what he could and couldn’t do. They weren’t together but...she wasn’t sure if she was capable of knowing he would be seeing another girl and her. “Do you still have feelings for her?”
Joon Woo
Joon wasn’t sure how to respond to that question. He wanted to say no but it was likely that would be a lie. He couldn’t just stop being the way he was with Neith because then she would know something was wrong and it would put Evie in danger. “I don’t want to.” He stated simply no, deciding that was the best way to answer her question. “No,” he whispered to her.
Evangeline
“oh...okay.” she said softly, not sure how to respond to that. She knew he was doing it for her her own good but, at what point would it stop? “Joon I just....I don’t want to be hurt again.” She said to him seriously. “I...I really like you.”
Joon Woo
Joon sighed softly, wishing he could see her in the moment, wanting to do everything he could to reassure her that he liked her just as much. “I really like you too, Evangeline.” Moving one of his hands off her thigh, he pressed her closer to the wall to make up for the lack of support. Placing a finger under her chin, he moved her head up so that he could kiss her softly. “I want to protect you, not hurt you.” He whispered against her lips.
Evangeline
Evie felt the cold hard wall against her back. But she didn’t care. The boy she liked, liked her too. She had figured as much considering their positions but ....it was comforting to hear. Her head followed his command, lifting up. “I don’t need protection. I need trust. Can I trust you?” She whispered into the darkness.
Joon Woo
“I would never do anything to hurt you.” He said plainly, lips inches from her face as he spoke. “I just want to see you happy and hopefully that’s with me.”
Evangeline
“you’re so amazing.” She sighed. wanting to be done with the serious conversation, she simply brought her lips back to his, hands playing with his hair as he held her in place. “We’ve got about 10 more minutes before the doors unlock and open.” She said whispered to him.
Joon Woo
Joon smiled softly at her before their lips reconnected. “Do you trust me?” He asked, pulling away from the kiss. “I can make this 10 minutes the best you’ve ever had if you do.”
Evangeline
she tilted her head, not that he could see that. “Yes....” she trailed off worried what she may have signed up for. He was willing to fuck her in a car in daylight, she had a feeling he didn’t really care if they got caught.
Joon Woo
As soon as he had permission, Joon pushed Evie’s body further up the wall until her legs could wrap around his shoulders. “Just don’t lean forward too much, Sugar Cube.” He smirked before diving between her legs.
Evangeline
“Joon wait wait wait.” She said as he lifted her into the air. “What are you...holy aces.”she breathed out.
The lights came back in just as Evie’s feet hit the floor, holding on to Joon’s arm for support. Her face was flushed and red as she hyper focused on being able to walk.
Joon Woo
Joon smiled, proud of his work as he wiped his mouth clean. “Are you gonna be okay walking?” He asked, ready to carry her at any moment.
Evangeline
“what? Me? Yeah. I’m fine. Totally fine.” She muttered, still not daring to let go of his arm. “My leg is just uhm...asleep from its positioning that’s all...”
Joon Woo
“The position,” he nodded. “Right. Of course. Well if your legs are too jelly to walk let me know. Sugar Cube. I want you to enjoy this date.”
Evangeline
“shut up. And don’t let me go.” She said nudging him slightly. “I am. Very much. Even if the order is a little wacked.” She giggled. “Is there anything you wanted to try in the city ?” She asked.
Joon Woo
“I won’t.” He chuckled softly to himself. “I don’t think normal dates are for me. I like whatever this one has been.” Joon held Evie closer, trying to support her better as they walked. “I wanted to get real food before we head back.”
Evangeline
Evie smile fell just slightly, they couldn’t be like this on campus. This sucked. Majorly. “Okay we’ll do that. What’s your favorite kind of food?” She asked.
Joon Woo
"Hey," he cooed, noticing her smile begin to fade. "What's wrong?" Joon stopped in his tracks, turning to face her.
Evangeline
“what? Nothing? I asked what kind of food you liked?” She asked, feigning confusion. She forced herself to swallow that feeling. She could be upset about it later.
Joon Woo
Joon sighed, knowing she was lying to him. It was obvious in the way she looked at him but he let it go, wanting to enjoy the rest of their time together. "Fine. I like Italian. What do you like?"
Evangeline
god why did he have to boat so much attention? But also...she kinda liked that he did. She kissed his hand a few times, one on each knuckle. “Oh that’s my favorite too! I know the perfect place.” She told him.
Joon Woo
Joon tried to hide his smile as she kissed his knuckles, the soft gesture causing an electricity to flow through him. "I'll follow you then."
Evangeline
"you're such a tom." she joked, leading him through the rest of the museum. they took a few more pictures before finally hitting the streets once more. "it's a small family own placed, but it's on the other side of the city. But I swear they have the BEST Italian."
Joon Woo
"I'm a tom?" He raised a brow at her, rolling his eyes. They h knew that was untrue. "I'll make you regret saying that later." After taking the photos, he pulled her in for another kiss, missing her lips against his. "Let's go get back in the car then."
Evangeline
"oh...poker chips. I was kidding." she said nervously. She wasn't sure if she could take much more of him today. Physically anyway. And it only 12:30. She kissed him back, putty in his hands. "okay." she smiled letting him lead her.
Joon Woo
“I’ll make sure you never want to kid like that again.” He threatened, only half joking. Leading her to the car, he opened the door for her.
Evangeline
evie let out a nervous whine as they neared the car. She only wanted to tease him a bit. "joon please, my body can only handle so much." she said to him as she got in the car. she did a small prayer for mercy as she waited for him to get in on the other side.
Joon Woo
Joon smirked, hearing her pleas. Closing the door behind her, he walked around the other side of the car and opened his door to get inside. “Aww are you all tuckered out? You can’t keep up?” His smirk grew mischievous as he leaned over and tickled her chin.
Evangeline
“don’t tease me.” She pouted, motioning to bite his finger. “I can keep up just fine. Thank you.” She crossed her arms. “Just drive.”
Joon Woo
“If you could keep us just fine you would want me to fuck you in the back of this car before we left.” He chuckled, turning the keys in the engine and letting it heat up.
Evangeline
“joon...” she warned the thoughts clouding her mind. Wh couldn’t she think straight near him. “Fine, my body needs a small break. It’s been awhile.” She admitted.
Joon Woo
“It’s okay, Sugar Cube.” Joon smiled at her, placing a hand softly on her thigh before pulling out of his spot. “Where to?”
Evangeline
Evie placed her hand over his, making sure to keep it in place. “Luigi’s. I’ll type it into the gps.” She said leaning forward.
Joon Woo
“Okay,” he waited for her. Driving once it was in, he followed the path to the restaurant.
Evangeline
Evie sat back, hand absentmindedly toying with his fingers. She stared out tige window, humming to the music lightly as Joon drove. She was...completely content.
Joon Woo
Parking, he stopped the car, unhooking his seatbelt and opening his door. Shutting it behind him, he walked to her side and opened her door. “Ready to eat?”
Evangeline
“for someone who’s never been on a date, you’re doing great. So chivalrous.” She said as he opened her door. She Hooked her arm with his. “Yes I’m starving. I don’t usually do this much activity so early.” She winked
Joon Woo
Joon smiled at the compliment, happy to hear that he was doing a good job. “I’m sorry you’re doing so much with me.” He said, closing the door behind her and walking with her inside the restaurant
Evangeline
“No you’re not. I’m not.” She shook her head and chuckled. “Table for 2 please.” She said to the women at the podium, hand going for Joon’s.
Joon Woo
"I'm not," he chuckled, glad to hear that she wasn't sorry about it either. Intertwining their fingers together as he felt her hand moving down to his, he pulled it up to kiss the back of it. The sweet gestures were new for him but he had always wanted to do them with Neith although she never really let him.
Evangeline
"Evie?" a voice called out and she turned her head. There stood a tall man, hair died in an ombre black to teal. Evie's face lit up.
"Luka!" she said surprised, and dropped Joon's hand. She went over hugging him and he easily lifted her into the air.
"ma belle Evangeline i really wanted to say that. What are you doing here?" he chuckled, placing her down. Their hands laid lightly on each other's forearms as they talked.
"Oh I'm uh...just getting lunch." she answered, looking back at Joon.
Joon Woo
Hearing Evie’s name, Joon’s head snapped in the direction of the voice, guard up. The strange man was unknown to him but by the way Evangeline reacted he guessed the same couldn’t be said for her. Who was this guy? His content look quickly turned to a frown as he examined the other man. Evie dropped Joon’s hand and his frown grew deeper. Jealousy boiled inside him, threatening to spill over onto his features. Lunch? That’s all this was now? Not a date? “Excuse me.” Join walked away without another word, needing to cool down before he did something bad.
Evangeline
"friend of yours?" Luka asked.
"yeah, this is...joon." she answered, eyebrows furrowing in confusion as he walked off. "Okay.." she said softly, eyes watching him. oh no "Hey can give me a minute?" she asked Luka, leaning up to kiss his cheek before heading after Joon. "Joon? Joon. Joon wait!" she said catching up to him. "Hey is everything okay?" she asked.
Joon Woo
Hearing his name, Joon continued to walk, part of him hoping she would just walk back to the stranger and this whole thing would be over. He could get a new sponsor and she would be safe with that guy. “Yeah,” he mumbled continuing towards the car.
Evangeline
She actually ran this time, blocking his path. "Dammit Joon stop." she spoke, hurt laced in her voice. "what's going on?"
Joon Woo
Joon stopped, looking down at the smaller woman. "Go have lunch with your other friend." He hissed, the word coming out as a growl. With one flick of his finger, she moved out of his way involuntarily and he continued.
Evangeline
"Luka? You're jealous of Luka?" she sighed until she was literally forced aside. God he was being so childish. "Christ , He's engaged to my sister. " she called after him. "can you stop acting like this now?"
Joon Woo
"It's not about that." He mumbled, looking like a kicked puppy. Joon stopped, turning to face her. "We have to hide from people at school but you couldn't tell him that you were on a date?"
Evangeline
"Iwas getting there! Luka works at the school and sometimes has lunch with the professor's. i wanted to make sure none of them were here. he wouldn't say anything though. which you would have realized if you waited ten seconds instead of storming off." she snapped back. "this..whatever it is.....it isn't going to work if you can't trust me Joon."
Joon Woo
Joon's frowned lightened as he spoke. Jealousy had obviously gotten the better of him. "What is this?" He walked towards her until the space had closed between them.
Evangeline
"what?" she asked, exasperated. She stood with her arms crossed as he came over to her. She didn't meet his eyes."what do you mean?"
Joon Woo
"I mean what is this? What do you want this to be?" He questioned her, still feeling like it was possible he was just a joke to her - just like he was with Neith
Evangeline
"I don't know. 2 days ago I was convinced you hated me. And today...I can't go 2 minutes without wanting to hold your hand. I haven't been this happy in months." she explained to him. "I want to see where this goes. But I don't want that if you're going to freak out every time I don't tell someone. My career as a hero is on the line here. And because of your ex so is my life apparently."
Joon Woo
Joon nodded, it was too fast to tell anything other than he liked her but he used to like Neith too. He sighed, “She’s not my ex.” She was nothing. She never had been and here he was getting himself into the same situation with another woman. “I’m not hungry anymore.”
Evangeline
"right. sorry. i just don't really know how to refer to her I guess." she muttered.. the mood had been ruined again, and that's not what she wanted. "ok. we can go home." she said touching his chest lightly. "i do want to be with you Joon. I just want to take things slow okay? But the goal is to one day be able to call you my boyfriend." she said to him."you know...if that's what you want too I mean."
Joon Woo
“Slow is okay but I don’t-“He stopped not sure how to tell her he didn’t want to used again. “I wouldn’t be opposed to that someday.” Joon admitted, placing his hand over hers on his chest. “We don’t have to leave.”
Evangeline
“are you sure? If you’re not up to it, it’s really okay.” She said to him, a small smile on her face. “I just want to be with you. Where ever you are”
Joon Woo
“I don’t want to have to pretend again.” He told her simply, wrapping his fingers around her hand. “Once we get back to campus we have to go our separate ways.”
Evangeline
“it’s only for the semester. Next one I’ll get assigned a new sponsee and we can be together. We can figure out something about neith. It won’t be forever.” She said. But was she trying to convince him? Or her? “Okay.” She nodded. “Let’s go eat.”
Joon Woo
“You won’t have me after this semester?” Joon raised a brow in confusion. He was still figuring out how things worked at the school. “Okay,” he took her hand in his intertwining their fingers and walking back to the restaurant.
Evangeline
Evie shook her head. “Different hero kids get assigned to provide different perspectives. Because of my upbeat attitude, I’m only assigned to first semester students.” She explained. They walked back into the restaurant, where Luka was still hanging out. She didn’t drop Joon’s hand this time. “Luka, this is Joon.” She introduced them and the man smiled. “Pleased to meet you. I hope everything is alright.” He replied. Evie smiled wide, happy someone she cared for knew about them.
Joon Woo
“Oh,” he nodded the disappointment evident in his tone. It was better for them so they didn’t get in trouble but part of him was still sad not to have an excuse to see her everyday. “You too. I just wasn’t feeling well.” Joon explained with a lie, squeezing Evie’s hand lightly.
Evangeline
“What is it?” She asked him lowly. After a few niceties, Luka took his leave and Evie and joon sat at the table. “He likes you.” She smiled at joon from the other side.
Joon Woo
"Nothing," he told her. Joon had already opened up so much to her, it was exhausting. He just needed to keep some things to himself like he was used to. "You don't know that." He picked the menu up, browsing to see if anything caught his eye.
Evie
she let it go, not wanting to pry. this date had more turns than a rollercoaster, but she was still glad she was on it. “Yeah I do.” She said confidently. “As sure as the sky is blue.”
Joon Woo
"How?" He questioned, eyes scanning over the menu until they landed on something that caught his interest. Setting down the menu, he looked at Evie.
Evie
"Because when you're close to someone, you learn their signs. How their body language leaves clues to how they really feel." Evie answered him. She already knew what she was going to order considering she got the same thing every time.
Joon Woo
“Okay. Well maybe he does and maybe he doesn’t. It only matters if you do.” When the waiter walked up, Joon ordered his food.
Evie
Evie smiled ordering her food as well before going into a comfortable silence. She smiled, her imagination taking off as she gazed at the other customers. imagining what they may have been talking about. who they were outside of the small booths of the restaurant.
Joon Woo
Joon watched as Evie looked around the restaurant, his eyes focused on her. He took her features in, examine every inch of her face. She was beautiful - more beautiful than Neith could ever hope to be.
Evie
Finally snapping back into reality when their salads arrived Evie blinked a few times, gaze turning back to Joon. He was watching her, something she hadn't been expecting and she flushed. "so uhm....have you ever been outside the states? other than korea?"
Joon Woo
Glancing at the waiter, he nodded before grabbing his fork and stabbing at the greens. “No,” he shook his head. “I left Korea to come here and now you see where I ended up. I’ve only ever been here and Korea. Have you anywhere else?”
Evie
"I did an exchange student program when I was in Japan. It's how I even got into UA here. " she explained. "Other than that I haven't left the west coast really."
Joon Woo
“What did you think of Japan?” Joon asked, poking around his salad with his fork mindlessly
Evie
“Oh it was amazing. I’d love to go back someday.”
Joon Woo
"Do you plan to after you graduate?"
Evie
“Maybe but not forever. “ she answered. “This is my home, but I’d love to travel and see different things. Learn about different cultures and people. You know?” She shrugged. “What about you? What do you want to do after graduation?”
Joon Woo
Joon nodded, understanding what she meant. “I don’t know. I haven’t thought about it. Maybe I’ll go back to Korea or maybe I’ll stay here.”
Evie
”Do you miss Korea?” She wondered. “I heard it’s beautiful.”
Joon Woo
“No,” he admitted. There was nothing left for him in Korea. The only person that tied him back there was at UA now. “The rich parts are.”
Evie
“Well then maybe you can come with me. We can backpack and see the world together.” She said not thinking. “You uh, know not that I’ve thought about that for anything.”
Joon Woo
Joon hid his smile, looking down at his uneaten salad bowl. “Maybe I will if you want the company.”
Evie
“oh you know me...I always need someone to listen to my idiotic rambling.” She said before stuffing her mouth with salad. *stop talking Evangeline before he thinks you’re crazy. * she thought to herself.
Joon Woo
"Your rambling isn't idiotic," He shook his head at her. He wished she saw herself the way he did or the way he was starting to rather. She was more than the annoying girl who had followed him around his first day.
Evie
“well at least someone thinks so.” She smiled. It was nice. When she was younger she used to be told to hush constantly. The amount of energy she put out always too much for people. A few moments later their food arrived and she let out a low “yesssss!”. “If this isn’t the best Italian you’ve ever had I shall renounce my position as a hero.” She said seriously.
Joon Woo
When their food arrived, Joon pushed his salad bowl away. He was happy to have real food instead of the rabbit food that had preciously sat in front of him. “I’m sure it will be the best.” He said, confidently taking a bite. The taste him palate all at once and it took everything in him not to gag. Chewing his way through it, he smiled at her. It was the worst italian he had ever had but he was going to lie about it so Evie wouldn’t give up her title.
Evie
Evie smiled, taking a bite of her own food once she saw he liked it. Her phone buzzed in her pocket and she stood up. “It’s my mom. I’ll be right back.” She said kissing his head and walking towards the exit to be able to hear better.
Joon Woo
As soon as Evie was far enough away, Joon scrapped the food off his plate and into his large cotton napkin. Tossing it over his shoulder, it landed in another customer’s lap. Making a scene, the man shouted getting up, unsure of where it came from
Evie
“okay mama. Bye-woah.” Evie said as she walked back to the table, a very angry man shouting as he pushed past her. “What was that about?” She asked rubbing her arm as she sat down. “Oh you’re already done? You must have been hungry.” She giggled.
Joon Woo
Joon shrugged innocently, pretending like he didn’t know anything. “Starving.” He rubbed his stomach, patting it softly.
Evie
“oh well I’ll just get a to go box and we can leave then.” She nodded. She wasn’t that hungry.
Joon Woo
“I don’t mind waiting.” He told her. “Is everything okay?” Joon asked in reference to the phone call
Evie
“oh yeah. She wanted me to come home this weekend.” She said rolling her eyes. “Some hot shot coming to the casino and she wanted to make sure the house won. I told her no. “ her voice was colder than normal. “I kinda lost my appetite it’s okay I can have it for dinner later.” She said waving down the waiter.
Joon Woo
“Are you going to?” He questioned curiously. “Oh. Why not?” Brows furrowing together, he tried to read her unsuccessfully. Something was wrong. “Okay, do you want to go back?”
Evie
“we’ve got a complicated relationship.” She answered him. “I don’t want to but I’m sort of out of ideas for things for us to do today.” She shrugged.
Joon Woo
He nodded, not pushing it any further. They weren’t at the point of asking questions like that, nor was this the place. “Is there a park nearby?”
Evie
Evie nodded, finger tapping on her chin. “Uhm...yeah actually. A few blocks down.“ she answered him.
Joon Woo
“Can we go?” He asked hopefully
Evie
“yeah of course.” She nodded , double checking the location. “ yeah it’s a 5 minute walk. I’m game. I don’t know the last time I went to a park.”
Joon Woo
“I’ll meet you outside then. Okay?” He smiled at her, wanting to pay without any protest
Evie
she opened her mouth to protest but knew better than to argue. “Okay.” She smiled standing up. As ordered she went outside, patiently waiting for him.
Joon Woo
Joon asked for a box and the check. Receiving h, he put her food in the box and paid for their food before tipping and walking out. “Hello gorgeous.”
Evie
Evie hummed to herself as she waited for joon. She spaced out and jumped a little when his voice was in her ears. “Hello handsome.” She saved herself, turning and pecking him momentarily. “It’s that way.” She said nodding towards the direction of the park.
Joon Woo
Joon grinned as she pecked him. “Then let’s go.” Taking her hand in his free one, he started off in the direction she pointed. “I got a box for your food.” He showed her.
Evie
“oh ! Thanks babe. I completely forgot.I’m such a space cadet.” she said tapping her forehead with her free palm.
Joon Woo
“What does that mean?” Joon asked in confusion, not sure about the expression.
Evie
“oh it just means like...I’m spaced out. Forgetful. My dad used to say it all the time.” She explained sheepishly, scratching the back of her neck. “I have a lot of weird sayings.”
Joon Woo
“What other sayings do you have?” He wanted to know everything about her.
Evie
“Oh I don’t know. They kind of happen in the moment.” She blushed embarrassed. “Atticus always says I have my own language.”
Joon Woo
“I guess I’ll have to wait then.” He said, squeezing her hand softly. Reaching the park, he found a bench and sat down with her.
Evie
“guess so.” She chuckled. standing at at least a half foot shorter than him, snuggling into joon on the bench was a simple task. She sat down, tucked under his arm, head resting on his shoulder. Her free hand trailed up and down his arm. It was a beautiful day, and she was happy to get a break from her schedule. “This was a good idea.”
Joon Woo
Joon leaned over, kissing her forehead. “I’m glad you can’t do this to me on campus.” He whispered, knowing it would only make his feelings grow for her faster if she could do things like this all the time. “I wasn’t ready to go back.”
Evie
“do what to you?” She said with an amused look on her face. She closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of his lips on her head. “Me either. We should just hide here forever.”
Joon Woo
“This,” he gestured to her, leaning against him. “I wish we could but they’ll come look for us and then I’ll have to go to prison.”
Evie
“and what’s so wrong with this?” She teased him. She threw her legs between his, turning to face him. “Is this better?” She giggled. “Nope. I’d break you out. We could be on the run. Away from the world! Bonnie and Clyde!” She laughed .
Joon Woo
“Nothing is wrong with it.” He smirked at her small figure. “Much better.” Joon said, taking his arm to pull her onto his lap. “You? A hero?”
Evie
Evie smiled as he pulled her onto his lap, looking around to make sure people weren’t watching them. “What? You think I couldn’t do it?” She teased him, eye brow raising in challengez
Joon Woo
“I don’t think you would risk being a hero for me.” He told her honestly. It wasn’t worth it. He wasn’t worth it.
Evie
“okay you’ve got me there. But it’s not cause you aren’t worth it. I’ve just been working towards this for a long time.” She answered him. “What about your bad boy? Would you go good for me?”
Joon Woo
“I’m not. It’s fine, Evie.” He reassured her. Joon had never been worth that kind of sacrifice and he didn’t expect that to change anytime soon. “I’m here.”
Evie
“hey. That’s not true okay? Everyone is worth saving. Everyone.” She said seriously, hand touching his cheek lightly. “And in so happy you are.” She smiled, arms wrapping around to hug him.
Joon Woo
“Not me,” he told her just a seriously. He had done enough bad in his life to be locked up and deserve it. Hugging her back, he kissed her cheek.
Evie
“yes you. Stop that.” She said as her eyes bore into his. “I’ll spend every waking moment providing to you that you are. You’re not you’re past.” She said softly. He kissed her cheek and she resisted the urge to turn her head. They were in plain view and she didn’t need that engine started, especially since she was still commando.
Joon Woo
“Maybe I am my past.” He suggested, not sure why he was pushing it. Part of him strongly believed he would never change from the villain he once was but Evie made things easier.
Evie
“then that’s a choice. Your choice. the past is a part of you. But it’s not what makes you who you are. What you choose to do each day, thats what does. ” She muttered, eye brows furrowing in frustration. She crossed her arms, not in a tantrum way but in a closing up way.
Joon Woo
“So then what am today? I chose you.” He frowned as she seemed to move inwards, wrapping his arms full around her. “Hey come back.”
Evie
I’m serious.” She said not wanting her words to turn into a flirtation. She needed him to understand. He wrapped his arms around her and she closed her eyes, letting the feeling calm her. “I didn’t go anywhere.” She said softly.
Joon Woo
“I know and I’m trying to change but it’s not who I am.” He sighed, leaning his head into the crook of her neck. “You did.” Joon whispered, placing a soft kiss on her neck.
Evie
“i know I just....” She trailed off not really sure what she was trying to do. She got so passionate about things sometimes her mouth spoke before her brain could catch up. “Where did I go then?” She asked.
Joon Woo
“You just what?” He questioned, encouraging her to go on. “You disappeared. I don’t know where you went but it wasn’t here. I could see it in your eyes.”
Evie
“I just want you to not think you don’t have any choice. I want you to be happy. Really happy. So happy you can’t contain it and it overflows out of you.” She said hoping the words matched what she hoped for him. “I didn’t know you paid that much attention to me.
Joon Woo
“I’m happy here with you.” Joon told her, not sure hot to show her exactly how he felt. “You must not be very observant.” Was all he said, kissing her neck again before pulling back to look at her.
Evie
yes. But are you happy with you?” She asked him. She didn’t want to be his only source of happiness. It wasn’t good for him, but also a lot of pressure for her. She knew from experience. “I am. I just I don’t know, I guess im used to being looked at but not seen.”
Joon Woo
Joon didn’t respond to her question, not wanting to lie but not sure how to respond. He wasn’t happy with himself nor was he sure he would ever be. “do you want to be seen?”
Evie
“exactly. But that’s what I want for you. One day.” She said when he didn’t answer her. “I think everyone does in their own way.” She answered, toying with his fingers .
Joon Woo
Joon nodded. He wanted it too but it felt like a far off dream. “I see you.” He said, catching her hand and kissing it.
Evie
Evie turned. a deep red at his words. It was probably the most romantic thing anyone had ever said to her. Especially while kissing her hand. “Where have you been all my life?” She thought outloud.
Joon Woo
“In Korea.” He chuckled, happy to see her blushing. Joon was proud that he was able to make that happen. “Where have you been all of mine?”
Evie
“oh gods I said that out loud” she wanted to sink into a whole. She took her hands and covered her face. “In Vegas.” She answered muffled by her hands.
Joon Woo
Joon reached up to try and remove her hands from her face. “Don’t hide. I’m glad you aren’t in Vegas anymore.”
Evie
Evie let him pull her hands down, looking at him through her lashes. “Me too.” She smiled shaking off her embarrassment. Joon never made her feel bad about being herself.
Joon Woo
“Do you miss it though?” He questioned, placing a soft kiss on her nose
Evie
“sometimes. I mean it’s my home. But so is UAU.” She shrugged, scrunching up her nose as he kissed it. He was tactile it was surprising with how stoic he usual was. “Maybe I’ll take to you one day. If you’re a good boy.” She giggled, sticking her tongue out playfully.

"it's Disney!" Okay, I hear you....it's going gay though
Jyrus most likely won’t happen….who knows, though.
Malvie most likely won’t happen….who knows, though.
Raven and Chelsea most likely won’t become more than friends….who knows, though.
Two…five…TEN years ago, answer me honestly, would you have seen these clips below on t h a t Disney Channel? I would think not! They were aware people would get the wrong idea. And if you saw something like this, it was usually an honest slip up and only happened on like…one show, two at the most. IF THAT. So tell me…look at these gifs below very carefully and tell me honestly, would you have seen this on Disney Channel ten years ago? ALL AT ONCE, COEXISTING THE SAME TIME?
×

A little more context/background on all 3:
×
(Andi Mack, S1E12 “Best Surprise Ever”) Amber is accusing Jonah of liking Andi as more than a friend, and tells him there’s one way to know if Andi likes him back.
[Andi and Cyrus are walking in the opposite direction of Amber and Jonah]
“…if she turns to look back at you, it means she likes you. Not just as a friend.”
[Jonah leaves before he sees Andi look back in slow motion…and then Cyrus in the same fashion]

(Descendants 2, “Space Between” sung between Mal and Evie) “I didn’t know what you were going through I thought that you were fine Why did you have to hide? - Evie
I didn’t want to let you down But the truth is out It’s tearing me apart, not listening to my heart - Mal
I really had to go - Mal
And I would never stop you - Evie
Even though it changed - Mal
Nothing has to change - Evie
And you can find me in the space between
Where two worlds come to meet
I’ll never be out of reach
‘Cause you’re a part of me so you can find me in the space between
You’ll never be alone
No matter where you go
We can meet in the space between”
[Ben told Mal he loves her, tried giving her his ring back, and she rejected it - this could have been a good moment to insert a love song with Ben trying to convince Mal to “come home” to Auradon with him and Mal insistent on the fact she believes she can’t be what Ben deserves, something very Troy and Gabriella-esque. But no, he walks out, resigned, Mal goes back to spray painting like nothing happened, and then we get an emotional breakup song between Mal and Evie and how they’ll always have a grey area between cookie cutter princesses and edgy villain kids to be together. Yes, it could just be platonic. No, I for one don’t think it is.)
“I know you have to stay
But I’ll never really leave you
Nothing has to change
Even though it changed
And you can find me in the space between
Where two worlds come to meet
I’ll never be out of reach
‘Cause you’re a part of me so you can find me in the space between
You’ll never be alone
No matter where you go
We can meet in the space between
There are no words left to say
I know you gotta find your place
But this is not the end (no)
You’re part of who I am
Even if we’re worlds apart
You’re still in my heart
It will always be you and me, yeah”
(Again, it’s totally fine seeing this as platonic. But darn, I’d be lying if I didn’t hear the romance in how someone is letting their favorite person in the world go because they know they have to and it’s right and instead of pleading with them to make a “better” decision they let them choose what they want and assure them they’ll always be with them in the space between their two different worlds…like, if that was sung between Mal and Ben? It’d be categorized a total love song!)

(Raven’s Home, S1E2 + 3 “Big Trouble in Little Apartment” and “The Baxters Get Bounced”) There were a few instances where Chelsea mentions a mysterious getaway/event that happened between only her and Raven and then they both smile at the memory and make faces like parents would about their honeymoon or rager of a college party they once went to because it was something they could do together on a weekend. This one may be a reach, however in the third episode where Chelsea mentions a second mysterious event that happened yet again only between her and Raven - leaving the audience wondering what the heck happened - she smiles at the ceiling after telling it and Raven narrows her eyes and a small smile forms as she nods at the memory. It’s just rather weird how they’ve spent this much time together even though they were married before, but then best friends do make time for each other and who knows when their marriages fell apart, really. Though we do know Chelsea had to have been recently divorced because she talks of her ex-husband in the first episode as if it’s just happened and Raven makes a point to ask Nia if it really is okay for Chelsea to stay in her room, meaning Chelsea and Levi’s move into Raven’s Home (teehee) had to have happened recently….off topic BUT anyway! Again, it could be a reach. However, I’ll just leave one more gem that’s a bit more telling but a lot sweeter than it is gay (still pretty gay tho).
“They’re two families!”
“I only see one.”
×
×
×
That’s all I’ve got to say about that. Whether you ship these characters or not, are pining for more gay representation in Disney (like me) or are just okay with it or not even caring or completely against it, you can’t deny……..there’s gay nearby!😏 Lame rhyme I know, I know. But eh whatever.
So in conclusion,
Will gay happen in these instances Disney has presented us the potential with?

gift of life
pairing: harry/evie rating: pg-13 words: ~3200 a/n: lame title, i know but i couldn’t think of anything. this was a really fun prompt to write haha. and fun fact, i already have headcanons for my two hevie babies xD i combined two prompts, because i thought they worked together really well. prompt: A hevie pregnancy? + Hello ! If it's not too much trouble and fic requests are still open , could you please write a Hevie Fic where Harry is overprotective of Evie ? Thank you ! I love your blog by the way !! read on: [ao3] [ffn.net]
“I don’t understand how you can still walk with heels when you’re this far along,” Mal remarked, watching in slight awe as her best friend slipped on her other shoe. Despite the large belly in her way, Evie still managed to put her shoes on with such grace and ease that it was though she wasn’t pregnant at all.
The princess looked up with a smile after tying her strap. “I’m lucky I can even keep these, nonetheless walk in them.”
Mal raised an eyebrow. “What do you— Oh right, Harry.”
“Harry,” she nodded with a sigh.
Contrary to what everyone had expected, the usually wild and reckless pirate was actually quite the worrywart when he wanted to be. When Evie had announced her pregnancy to him just seven months prior, she was greeted with the widest grin she had ever seen on his face before he tackled her, peppering both her face and her stomach with numerous kisses. Despite having been together for a little over six years, they had never really spoken of having children. Evie had always assumed it would be a natural part of their relationship, particularly after they got married but her pregnancy had come a lot earlier than she expected. She had been rather nervous before telling him, worried that he did not want a child so early, not when they had barely undertaken their journey around the seven seas.
But Harry, Harry had reacted in such a way that she wondered how she had gotten so lucky. He had been so excited at the prospect of having a little pirate (or princess, she had added), of his own that no one had seen him without that goofy smile on his face ever since her announcement. While Evie knew Harry would be a good father, what she did not expect was for him to be the overprotective type, especially during the months of her pregnancy.
The first time he had shown this new side of his was when he found her hauling a large pile of fabrics into her room. He had all but rushed to her side, grabbing the pile from her before settling it down where she had wanted. Evie was amused but also rather confused, particularly after he had announced that she “no longer carry the heavy stuff. I don’t want ye hurting yerself before the baby comes.”
She had all but frowned, arguing that she was barely two months along and wasn’t showing yet, but he had downright refused. Rather, he had all but banned her from carrying heavy loads without him or someone else to help her. She had let it go the first time, however he had gotten particularly worse as the months went by. From making sure she ate the right things (as if she didn’t before), to helping her upstairs and practically becoming her errand boy (much to her refusal), he had basically fussed over every tiniest aspect of her life. He had argued that it was to make sure the baby was healthy, and while she had enjoyed being pampered during the first few months, it was becoming increasingly annoying.
Now that she was coming close to her due date in less than two months, he had become very, very overprotective to the point he wouldn’t let her out of his sight and refused for her to do anything but practically lie in bed and ‘relax’. It was becoming quite constricting, but she didn’t have the heart to argue against him, not when he had looked so excited for his firstborn child. She suspected it was because of his own lack of fatherly affection when he was young, so he was trying to rectify that through his own child but sometimes it was too much. He was smothering her.
And she wasn’t the only one who noticed. Practically everyone knew how much of an overprotective father Harry was now, especially after making everyone agree to always have her within their sights when he wasn’t there. It almost felt like he was her father, rather than her fiancé.
“I actually think it’s kinda sweet,” Mal remarked casually, Evie raising a brow in surprise.
“Sweet? Wow, I never thought I’d see the day when you would call Harry of all people, sweet.”
Mal rolled her eyes but it was all true. “Only when he’s around you, in particularly a pregnant you, is he sweet. I’d never thought he’d be the super overprotective type.”
“Me neither,” she mused. “Overprotective yes, but super overprotective no. You just wait until you get pregnant M, I think Ben’ll be a lot worse than Harry.”
She shook her head. “I won’t let him.”
Evie knew she probably wouldn’t, but she knew deep down that Mal loved the attention Ben gave her. It was the same way with her, except she had always loved being the centre of attention. “Even so, I’m not really complaining. He just gets a little too much sometimes, especially now.”
The queen hummed in agreement. “I can see that. I would tell him to chill and tone it down, but we both know he’s always been like that.”
“Unfortunately,” Evie sighed.
Mal gave the girl a small pat on the back in reassurance. “Hang in there, E. It’ll all be over soon.”
She smiled, gently rubbing her swollen belly. To think that in just under two months that she’ll be giving birth and cradling her own child within her arms. Six years ago, she didn’t think it’d ever be possible but fast forward, and look where she was now. She was no longer on the Isle. Instead, she was living happily in Auradon, or more recently on The Red Tide, with a successful business doing what she loved, a fiancé she loved with all her heart, and ready to welcome her first child.
“Soon,” she promised.
//
“Princess—“
Evie shook her head, cutting him off before he could say some more. She knew where this was going, but she refused to hear the end of it. “I know what you’re going to say Harry, but no. I’m not going to give up these heels.”
“But ye know damn well how painful those things are on a normal basis. I don’t know how yer even wearin’ them when yer pregnant with our child.”
She shrugged, before slipping off the shoes to join him in bed. “Well, when you’re me then I’ll let you know.”
He chuckled before shifting to give her some room. Harry leaned forward to pull back the covers as she slipped in, making herself comfortable before he pulled the sheets back up, carefully tucking her in. Evie shifted to lie slightly into his side as he wrapped an arm around her, placing a hand over her exposed belly and gently rubbing soothing circles.
“To think we’d be welcoming this little buccaneer in less than two months,” he mused, Evie humming in agreement.
“I can’t wait to meet our little Evie or Harry when the time comes.”
He kissed her tenderly on the forehead, Evie sighing into the kiss. “Ye’ll be a great mother Princess. The fairest in the land.”
She looked up at him, cupping his cheek. “And you, you’ll be the greatest father our child could ever ask for. I could have never asked for anyone else.”
Harry leaned into her. “I wouldn’t ‘ave let ye. Ye’ll only be havin’ my kids, and that’s that.”
“I wouldn’t want it any other way,” Evie said before a thought came to mind. She eyed him mischievously. “Except…”
His eyes narrowed. “Except what?”
She sighed. “You really need to tone it down.”
“Tone what down?”
Evie motioned to her stomach and her surroundings, the pirate only looking more confused. “The overprotectiveness. I get it Harry, I really do and I love all the attention you’re giving me but sometimes you’re too—“
“Much?” She nodded. He ran a hand through his hair with a sigh. “I’m sorry if ye feel like I’m smotherin’ ye Princess, but I just wanted to show this little one I cared enough.”
She moved a hand up to stroke his cheek. “You do. I’m sure they feel it too. But sometimes, I need some space too. I appreciate everything and I love your for it, but I need to breathe. I can’t really do much now that I’m so far along, but it’d be nice to have some alone time without anyone supervising me.”
Harry eyed her contemplatively. “I don't know…”
“Please Harry,” she pleaded, “For me?”
She flashed him that puppy dog look of hers that had him wrapped around her little finger and made him weak to the core. She hadn’t used it as much as she did when they first started dating, but not that she had Harry only realised just how weak he was against it.
“Fine,” he sighed. “But ye have to tell me where ye are just in case I get worried.”
“You’re always worried.”
He frowned. “Not always.”
Evie raised an incredulous eyebrow. “Are you serious? You’ve gotten ten times more worried since I became pregnant.”
His frown only deepened. “Not ten times Princess. Yer over-exaggerating.”
She snorted. “No I’m not. Remember when you first found me throwing up at the toilet bowl?”
It had happened six months ago, just over a month since she had first conceived. She had had her suspicions early on, having realized she had missed her period by a month, but the first time the morning sickness struck was when her suspicions had been confirmed. She had awoken to the violent need to throw up her last meal, Evie having to literally stumble out of bed to make way into their bathroom before everything inside her came spilling out.
Harry had awoken to the loud noise, his eyes flickering to their bathroom with concerned eyes as he flung aside his sheets to run in after her. He found her hunched over the toilet bowl, grasping the edges tightly before she threw up once more. Harry quickly moved to her side, gathering her stray pieces of hair before holding it behind her as she continued to pour her guts out over the bowl.
She gasped, trying to take her breath before wiping the sides of her mouth with the back of her hand. Evie looked up to find Harry staring at her worriedly, still holding back her hair. “Are ye alright Princess? Should I go get the nurse?”
She shook her head, instead closing the toilet seat before taking a seat on it. Harry let her hair go, grabbing her hands as he knelt down to look at her, Evie watching him with tired eyes. “Tell me what’s wrong with ye Princess. Do ye need medicine? I can go get some from the kitchen. Or maybe I can—“
Evie shook her head once more, noticing that the pirate was beginning to panic. She clutched his hands tightly. “I’m fine Harry. I don’t need medicine.”
He looked at her incredulously, nostrils flaring in outrage. “Like hell ye don’t! I woke up to ye just vomiting yer guts out at three in the goddamn mornin’. Don’t tell me yer fine when yer not. I should go get the nurse to find out what’s wrong with ye.”
She pulled him back to face her before he could go anywhere, taking a deep breath. “I think I know what’s wrong with me.”
His brows furrowed. “What?”
She bit her lip before she looked straight into his eyes. “I think I’m pregnant.”
“I think any auld lad with a right mind woulda been worried outta their wits if they found their lass like I did,” Harry defended, crossing his arms like a petulant child. Evie rolled her eyes but conceded that he did have a point.
“But you looked like you were going to travel hell and back to find out what’s wrong with me.”
“Who said I wouldn’t? Yer my princess, and I’d do anything to keep ye safe,” he said, looking down at her with sincerity. She hummed in response, holding him tighter as she took in his scent.
“Okay, so maybe that wasn’t the best example,” she replied, “but remember that time when the baby first kicked? You didn’t know what you were doing.”
“Princess! How is me little buccaneer? Has he kicked yet?” he had asked as soon as he entered, wrapping his arms around her and resting them securely around her waist.
Evie rolled her eyes. “For the last time, she’s going to be a girl Harry.”
The pirate shrugged. “Girl or boy, it doesn’t matter. They’ll be sailin’ the seven seas even before they can walk.”
She had already expected him to display his enthusiasm for raising their child as a pirate, just like he, and while she was more than happy to let him, she wanted to make sure their child had a little flair of herself as well. If they were going to be raising a pirate, she would make sure that they knew exactly how to dress well, because some of the pirates she had met over the lifetime had a severe lacking in fashion sense. She would be damned if none of her children knew how to dress well.
Evie was about to open her mouth to reply when she felt something move inside her. It was akin to a muscle twitch, as if someone was trying to poke their way out of her belly. She almost jerked, Harry having noticed her pause and movement with concern.
“Princess?”
She had placed her hands onto her belly, looking up at him with a proud smile in realisation. Harry raised a brow curiously, before she took one of his hands around her waist and guided it to her stomach.
“I don’t—“
The words died down in his throat when he felt the same movement beneath his palm, mouth widening in disbelief. “He— He—“
She nodded with a watery smile. “She kicked,” she finished, before turning around to wrap him in her arms. Harry was still in a state of shock as she hugged him, hands hovering at his sides and unable to comprehend what had just happened.
Evie pulled back when she noticed he had yet to return her hug, looking up at his shocked face in bemusement. “Harry?”
He said nothing, instead suddenly taking her hand and leading her to their bedroom where he swiftly carried her bridal style to rest her gently on the bed. She eyed him curiously as he pulled down the covers under her to pull it back up, tucking her snugly before beginning to strangely pace at the end of their bed.
“Harry? What are you doing?”
He didn’t reply to her, instead muttering under his breath as he walked back and forth, back and forth. “Kicked… he kicked… what do I do—“ was all she could make out before she had had enough of the pacing and flung aside the covers.
Harry had noticed her actions and paused in his steps, eyeing her in shock as he shook her head. “Princess, ye shouldn’t be—“
The girl frowned at him. “I can do whatever I like Harry. The baby kicked, not disable me,” she replied testily beneath narrowed eyes.
He shook his head once more. “Ye should still be in bed.”
“Why? Harry, a kick doesn’t mean I need to recover from an illness of some sort. A kick is just a kick. I can still go on with my daily life.”
“No ye can’t.”
“And why can’t I?”
Harry was at a loss of words as he fumbled to search for a reason. Truth be told, he didn’t know what a kick had entailed despite his constant asking of it for a few weeks prior. When Evie had noticed his lack of response, she had smiled at him knowingly before narrowing her eyes.
“You never read the pregnancy books did you?”
“I did read them eventually ye know,” he told her, Evie rolling her eyes.
“Yeah, only after I threatened you with sleeping on the couch,” she replied. “I still don’t understand how it took you so long to read them. You looked so enthusiastic about raising a child, yet you refused to learn about how to raise them.”
Harry shrugged. “I hate reading.”
Evie grumbled, before sighing. “Anyway, this just proves my point. You’ve become more of a worrywart since I became pregnant.”
“Ye said I worried ten times more, but this doesn’t prove it.”
Evie didn’t have enough strength to lift herself up to glare at him, so settled for elbowing him in the stomach. “That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Remember when you first found me trying to get a glass from the top cabinet?”
“Princess! What’re ye doin’?” The pirate exclaimed in horror as he ran up to where she was standing. Evie had simply been thirsty, and had gone to the kitchen to grab a glass to refill her water. It didn’t help that the glass cabinet was near the top, but she was tall enough to still reach it so it didn’t really bother her.
However Harry had taken this as an affront to her personal safety as he grabbed a glass from the cabinet and handed it to her, giving her a small glare. “Next time, call me for help.”
She frowned at him. “To help me get a glass? Harry, for the last time I’m pregnant not disabled. I’m tall enough to still reach it.”
He had shaken his head, refusing to listen to anymore of her protests before he took down every glass from the top cabinet.
“And then you put them on the lowest cabinet, completely redecorating the kitchen without my consent,” she had sounded a bit miffed, much to his confusion.
“I was making things more accessible to ye,” he retorted, Evie snorting.
“But you didn’t even stop there. You literally removed all the top shelves and put them all at lower level, making it look like I was in a wheelchair or something. I appreciate the things you do for me Harry, I really do but you were overreacting. Especially when I was only like two months in, and I hadn’t even shown yet.”
Harry winced, having remembered that fact. Perhaps he had been overreacting at the time, especially since the baby had done everything but slow her down, yet he couldn’t help it. He had wanted to ensure that the baby was safe and healthy before the time came for him to meet him.
“Also, don’t forget that moment when you had to hold my hand every time I went up or down some stairs, even if there were only three. Also when you wouldn’t let me pack up my sewing machine because there were ‘sharp objects', and when you—“
The pirate had leaned over, kissing her softly on the forehead as the words died in her throat. When he pulled away, he looked down at her with a crooked grin, the only one he ever really showed her. “Okay I get it Princess. I’m a worrywart around ye. I promise I’ll tone it down a bit.”
She hummed in gratitude. “But I’m sure our little buccaneer has appreciated everything their daddy has done for them.”
He placed a hand on her round belly, grinning at her. “Aye.”

Arrow - A brief and biased but (hopefully) comprehensive guide
I know I’m not the only one really looking forward to Michael Emerson as a supervillain. I’m probably also not the only one who found the prospect of watching all of Arrow... daunting. But I did make myself watch it all and thought I might as well summarise it for those who understandably don’t want to. Needless to say, Spoiler Warning!
Another warning: I personally don’t like Arrow, and that’s definitely reflected in this, but I encourage you to not let yourself be deterred from watching it and forming your own opinion.
Background Stuff:
Star City (renamed because why not; formerly Starling City): The main location of Arrow and the home of its characters.
Central City: The main location of The Flash, it’s often mentioned. Also, beware the crossover episodes! I recommend skipping those, unless you want to keep up with The Flash (imo The Flash is even worse than Arrow, so proceed at your own risk) as well. They tend to affect the other episodes in only minor ways.
Lian Yu (Mandarin for Purgatory, often only refered to as the island): The island Oliver was stranded on. It exploded in the last season finale.
A.R.G.U.S.: A secret special ops devision of the US government.
Metahumans: In the beginning of The Flash, some experimental reactor exploded, which gave random people all sorts of superpowers.
Palmer Technologies: Formerly Queen Consolidated, which used to be (surprise, surprise) the Queen family’s business empire. If I remember correctly Queen Consolidated went bankrupt and was boght by Palmer Technologies. PT belonged to a dude named Ray Palmer aka Captain Atom, who is alive but officially presumed dead after an accident with his shrinking suit.
League of Assassins: The name is pretty self-explanatory. They’re essentially ninjas, wear black outfits and mostly fight with swords. After a long leadership dispute, they were disbanded in s5. They used to have a thing called the Lazarus Pit, which can heal injuries and even revive dead people, but with some considerable drawbacks.
Helix: A powerful hacktivist group founded by a guy named Cayden James (probably ME’s character?). Felicity Smoak briefly worked with them.
Bratva: A Russian organised crime group.
Main Characters:
Original Team Arrow:
Oliver Queen/The Hood/Green Arrow: The protagonist, rich kid, former cast away, has a perpetual identity crisis. Whether or not he’s willing to kill people could so far be determined by number of season: In the odd-numbered ones he kills, in the even-numbered ones he doesn’t. His middle name should be ‘Drama‘. He slept around a lot before getting stranded and has a son with a one-night-stand about whom he didn’t know until s4, I think? He is skilled at archery and various typed of hand to hand combat, he was trained by various individuals on the island and was a temporary member of A.R.G.U.S., the League of Assassins, and the Bratva. Oliver changes his mind a lot despite having quite the self-righteous streak, nontheless he’s rather predictable, which the big bads like to take advantage of. He is also frequently melodramatic and prooobably needs a shitload of therapy.
John Diggle/Spartan: Oliver’s bodyguard, assigned to him after he returned from the island. Oliver kept ditching him until he found out Oliver is the Green Arrow (back then still known as the Hood) and subsequently became the first to join Oliver’s cause. He is married to Lyla Michaels (see: Recurring Characters) and has a son with her, who used to be a daughter until a timetravel crossover episode happened, which I skipped. He is loyal and veeery principled and considers Oliver his brother.
Felicity Smoak/Overwatch: The second person to join Oliver. First his friend, later his on-off girlfriend/love-interest/fiancée. I’m actually not sure whether or not they’re together at this point and I think they’re not sure either. After Ray Palmer’s “death” she became the CEO of Palmer Technologies until she was kicked out by the board. She’s the tech support and an excellent hacker, for which she has a bit of a reputation. Felicity is sweet, babbles a lot, but is one of the more reasonable characters. She was recently paralyzed, but regained the ability to walk due to a microchip in her spine.
Extended Team Arrow:
Thea Queen/Speedy: Oliver’s younger half-sister (although they didn’t know she’s only his half-sister until season 2, I think). Used to have a drug problem, but since she got her shit together, she’s probably the most reasonable member of Team Arrow (the bar really isn’t high there), despite being something of a hothead. She was almost killed and subsequently saved by the Lazarus Pit, which left her with a periodically occurring bloodlust that goes away once she murders someone. She received League of Assassins training by her father, Malcolm Merlyn (see: Recurring Characters).
Quentin Lance: On-off alcoholic. Former policeman. Father of two adult daughters (see: Recurring Characters), who both dated Oliver Queen, pre-series they did so simultaneously. Needless to say, he really hated Oliver’s guts at first, but has since warmed up to him. Is currently Oliver’s deputy mayor.
New Team Arrow:
Curtis Holt/Mr. Terrific: The Gay™ (I’m all for rep, but to me he seems a bit too much like the “Look at this gay character we made, look at him, aren’t we progressive???”-type of gay character.). He’s also a tech-savvy sweetheart who babbles a lot but has surprising moments of reason. Pretty much a male Felicity. He met Felicity while working for Palmer Technologies’ R&D department.
Rene Ramirez/Wild Dog: The superhero name reeaally suits him. He has a massive temper, zero chill and authority issues a mile wide. He means well though. He has a daughter, whose mother had a drug problem and was murdered in their home by a dealer. Rene really fell off the wagon after that and lost custody of his daughter, but he’s trying to get it back now, after being encouraged by Quentin Lance.
Dinah Drake/Black Canary: A metahuman and former polivewoman. She was working undercover when the reactor explosion thin occurred, was discovered and tortured and her partner/fwb was killed. Her superpower is the canary cry, aka weaponised screaming. Also one of the more reasonable characters, but also has a bit of a short fuse.
Recurring Characters:
Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer/The Magician: He’s played by John Barrowman so I like him. He’s an old family friend of the Queens and is Thea’s father, since he had an affair with Moira Queen. He’s been a long-standing nemesis of Team Arrow, and occasionally their mistrusted ally. Would do anything for Thea and proved that by stepping on a landmine in the last season finale, so he might be dead, but we haven’t seen his body yet, so... He was part of the League of Assassin and was their leader for a while, a position contested by Nyssa Al Ghul, the previous leader’s daughter.
Lyla Michaels: Ex-soldier, Diggle’s wife, works for A.R.G.U.S. Not much else to say, except she’s a badass and her morals are a tad more flexible than her husband’s, a frequent cause for friction between them.
Sara Lance/White Canary: BAMF. Bi af. Quentin Lance’s younger daughter, had an affair pre-series with Oliver, while he was together with her sister. She accompanied him on the boat ride that ended with him stranded of that island. She was long presumed dead, but was actually saved by the League of Assassins. Was together with Nyssa Al Ghul. She was killed by Thea Queen, more or less by accident. Her sister revived her using the Lazarus Pit, which ended with Sara being soulless for a while, but they fixed that. (Or rather, John Constantine, one of my favourite fictional characters ever, fixed that. Sadly, it was his only appearance on the show.)
Rory Regan/Ragman: Currently gone off, finding himself or something. Everyone gets identity crises on that show. Marginally less lame than ‘Ragman’ makes it sound, but really not by much. His town was destroyed by a nuke (Flicity’s fault, she steered it there to avoid hitting an even more populated area after s4′s big bad fired said nuke.) and he’s the only survivor thanks to his magical rags. Don’t question it.
Slade Wilson/Deathstroke: Australian. Badass. Pretty much the only cool character on this show so far and probably the most competent one. Ex-soldier. Ex A.S.I.S. (Australian Secret Intelligence Service) operative/assassin. Did I mention he’s a badass? Was stranded on that infamous island with Oliver, saved and trained him, because he’s a badass like that. Intelligent, competent, reeeaally smooth. He lost an eye after being shot by an arrow by Oliver and was dosed by some stuff called Mirakuru, which saved his life, gave him super strength, enhanced reflexes and senses, etc., but unfortunately also turned him insane, which ended with him trying to take over Starling City (he also murdered Moira Queen, Oliver’s and Thea’s mother). It wore off after a few years though and he tuned good again. He’s still a badass.
Alena: Hactivist, member of Helix, idolises Felicity. She’s friendly and carefree, but also intelligent and manipulative. She also appears to care deeply for Cayden James.
Anatoly Knyazev: Leader of the Russian Bratva/Brotherhood. Oliver saved his life but later also pissed him off, so they’re kind of friends but currently also enemies.
Nyssa Al Ghul: Daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul, the deceased leader of the League of Assassins. Arse-kicking lesbian. Technically, she’s Oliver’s wife, but that was an arranged marriage to their mutual benefit. Sara’s girlfriend. She really, really adores Sara and usually only refers to her as ‘my beloved’, it’s really quite sweet. She’s also a badass and usually Team Arrow’s ally, though occasionally their enemy.
Dead Characters that might get mentioned:
Laurel Lance: Ugh. Oliver’s ex-girlfriend and oldest friend. Alcoholic, boring, hypocritical, next-level annoying. Used to be the Black Canary before being killed in s4. She has an evil, parallel universe counterpart known as Black Siren who is also annoying but at least marginally more interesting. Black Siren is also a metahuman with the same ability as Dinah Drake, though she’s not very good at it, or at least not as good as Dinah. She ended up in the show’s universe due to some Flash crossover fuckery that I haven’t watched.
Tommy Merlyn: Oliver’s childhood best friend, Malcolm Merlyn’s son. He died way back in s1 but is still occasionally mentioned.
Shado Gulong: Also used to be stuck on the island with Oliver, Slade and her father whose name I don’t know how to spell (Yao Fe?? Something like that?). Helped train Oliver. Was briefly together with Oliver and killed on the island. Slade also had a crush on her at the time, which was the reason his chemically induced insanity focussed his revenge on Oliver.

Crème de la Crème: 34.
Evie
I was awakened by my sheets being snatched off of my body. I went to fuss at the culprit, but the minute I sat up, my face was met with a plate of cake
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” the multiple voices shouted
“Got it.” I heard Sean say followed by a flash
“You guys suck,” I said as I cleared the frosting from my face
Once I cleared most of the cake and frosting from my blocking my vision, I saw it was my four of my favorite people on this trip. August, Sean, Aaron and Jesse. They stood there with wide grins plastered over their faces.
“Happy birthday big head.” Aaron grinned with the destroyed cake in his hand as I sat up in my bed completely. I smiled. I was finally twenty-five years old and I can honestly say that I was happy in my life at this age.
Hell, I was about to turn up one good time. I hit a milestone and all I wanted to do was party and get my drink on, which I knew that Sean was going to get me drunk any damn way.
“Thank you guys, what time is it?”
“It’s a little after nine. Tish wants you to call her and we’ll be back later.” Sean said and I frowned at all four of them. Before I could say anything they had rushed out of my hotel room throwing another round of "Happy Birthday" before they left.
I didn’t know what was up with them but, I was feeling a certain type of way. They weren't even trying to have breakfast with me or anything. I wished I had Tish here with me, we would for sure be having breakfast and gone shopping by now.
Grabbing my iPhone from off the nightstand, I unlocked my phone and saw the tons of birthday messages I had from friends and colleagues. I even had a birthday text from Adrienne.
After sending a few replies, I went to my call log and dialed Tish's number. She answered on the second ring. “HAPPPPPYYYY BIRTHDAYYYYYYY BITCH!” She screamed into my ear as I laughed.
“Thank you, girl. I wish you were here with me.” I told her.
“Where’s Sean and the rest of your ugly ass best friends?” I chuckled and shook my head. “They left, they ran up out of here without a word. They slammed a cake in my face, wished me a happy birthday and high-tailed it out of here.” I said wiping more icing from eyebrow
Tish laughed. “Hmm, so they really did that? Anyway, girl, you know how them niggas are. I’m sure y’all are gonna have a good time though. They probably gonna take you for food later. It’s a business trip too right?”
“I’m starting to believe it is. I know someone better be taking me to dinner or something or somebody getting they ass beat.”
***
Later that Evening.....
When I tell you I was hot as fuck and ready to cuss every fucking body on this trip out? I was through with everybody. It was going on four in the afternoon.
I haven’t heard anything from anybody since this morning. I’ve been cooped up in my damn room for hours, waiting for somebody to at least come check on me. My face was twisted up into a deep frown as I scrolled my Instagram feed seeing a group picture of all the men on the trip that was taken an hour ago.
Fed up, I grabbed my shoes, purse, and phone and headed out the door. I wasn’t sure where I was going but staying locked up in my suite on my birthday while I was on vacation was not on the agenda.
When I got to the lobby, the receptionist with Claudia on her name tag waved me down “Ms. Summers, you’re not supposed to be out of your room” she said
My face scrunched up, “Excuse me?” I questioned
Who the hell gave orders that I wasn’t supposed to leave my room as a grown ass woman?
“Well, Mr. Alsina and Mr. Michaels were very clear when they said you weren’t to leave.” She looked nervous, as she should.
“August and Aaron” I growled.
They were ridiculous.
“She’s going out with me, isn’t that right Evie?”
Claudia seemed lost for words “Yes sir.” no questioning the subject any further
Looking up I was hesitant but being rescued from this situation beat being stuck in this hotel.
“Thanks, Claudia. Let the guys know when they get back.” I winked and took the strangers hand and walked out of the lobby
“You mind telling me how you knew my name?” I asked removing my hand from his.
I looked at him from head to toe. He wasn’t a bad looking guy and his accent was to die for.
“I’ve heard your friends call your name the day you checked in.” He said. “I’m Rick by the way.” He flashed a beautiful smile.
“Evie, but you already knew that” I shook his hand as my smile matched his. “So are you like on vacation here too?” I asked as we walked the streets.
“No, I own the place, I come in check on business every few days,” He said, “I don’t want to talk about business, let's talk about you.”
Rick and I walked and talked until the sun went down about any and everything. He was an heir to a string of hotels all around Argentina. His father gave him the one that I was staying at to control to see if he was fit to take over the family business.
He checked his watch as we neared the hotel. “As much as I would love to continue to get to know you, Ms. Evie, I’m very late for a meeting.” He handed me a business card. “Give me a call, I would love to show you Buenos Aires before you go back to America.”
“Okay” I nodded, already loving the idea
“And happy birthday, beautiful” He kissed my cheek before hopping into the black SUV that had been following us the entire time
I walked into the hotel to see Aaron arguing with Claudia.
“Hi, guys?” I smiled and pushed the card into my back pocket
“Really Evie, really?” August said.
“You guys weren’t going to keep me locked up on my birthday, you just weren’t." I shook my head
“Go get dressed, we can talk about this shit later,” Sean said dully
It was very apparent that we were all just over each other and it was evident on all of our faces.
I quickly went up to my room and once I freshened up, I met the guys downstairs in the lobby. I wasn’t sure where we were going but I was dressed to impress.
“I’m fully dressed so let’s not start.” I said once I saw the look on their faces
“it’s your birthday so I’ma shut up.” Aaron said
“Close your eyes,” August said
I did as I was told as they led me for what felt like forever. I began to hear music starting to get louder and louder.
“Okay, open your eyes.”
“And this is why we wanted you to stay in your room. Do you know how hard it is to plan a birthday party in secret?” Aaron asked.
I looked around at everyone having a good time. “Aww, you guys” I gushed as I gave each of them hugs
“And you thought we forgot about you” Sean rolled his eyes. “Let’s go get fucked up and enjoy a real one’s birthday!”
***
“Fun night?” I asked tracing the scratch marks on august’s back
He looked back at me and winked. “What can I say? I sling good dick.” he laughed
I shook my head. “You’re a hot ass mess.” I said, “We just got here August.”
He gave me a look as if he was offended. “I’m not fucking anybody in this country.”
“Noted.” I chuckled downing the drink in my hand.
The party that the guys threw for me was really great. I didn’t know half the people here but it was still lit.
They all seemed to know me though because I’ve gotten over 50 “Happy Birthday, Evie”.
Of course, my turn up buddy was making it his mission to get me as fucked up as I can possibly get and he was succeeding because the thoughts running through my head weren’t my own, but the hennys.
Requesting two more shots from the bartender, I quickly downed them and left August at the bar, letting him know that I’d be back.
Not waiting for a reply, I locked onto my target and made my way over to him.
Ashton
“I didn’t like the way our last encounter ended,” Samantha said
I kissed my teeth “We fucked and then went home. How else was it supposed to end?” I questioned looking around
Samantha was the stepdaughter of the CEO to one of Ashton Martin's main competitor’s, Porsche. She just so happens to be in Argentine “vacationing” at the same time we were.
The girl was batshit crazy, we fucked around a few times and she couldn’t wrap around her head that that’s all we were doing, fucking. I couldn’t stand being around her so I was doing my best to find an exit out of this conversation,
“Wow, that’s it?”
I let out a deep breath “Aren’t you on vacation, Samantha? Don’t waste it on me and if you’re adamant on fucking with me then I will have you removed from this party, don’t play with me.” I warned
“Ashton, we need to talk” Evie’s voice floated over the music
Turning away from Samantha, I looked Evie up and down “What’s up?” I asked
To my relief, Samantha stomped off.
“Let’s dance,” she said
A smile made it’s way onto my face “Lead the way.” I motioned.
She walked away and I followed, take notices to how her bodysuit hugged every curve she had.
She led me to a secluded spot in the party before her ass attached to my pelvis.
My hand almost immediately connected with her waist “You wanted to talk?” I asked against her ear.
“Why are you doing this to me?” She asked
I smirked. “Doing what, baby girl?” I asked
She was drunk, or maybe she was pretty close to it. One thing for sure, that liquid courage had Evie right where I wanted her.
“THIS! This back and forth pettiness.”
“Because all you do is play, I can play too.”
It took Evie longer than I expected for her to come to her senses. I had expected this weeks ago but I had patience. She and my brother underestimated me. I told him the night of her party that I had things under control.
“How’s your clothing line coming along?” Jessie asked my brother
“I’ve got a few pieces debuting really soon. Actually, my brother is going to be wearing the first suit I’m putting out at the AM showcase.” He boasted
Aaron was probably on his sixth strike of the night with me, my annoyance level for him was way past gone and him talking to this lame ass nigga was about to earn him his seventh.
Jesse nodded “I’m proud of you kid, doing your own thing out here.” he praised
I put my arm around Aaron’s shoulder “Yeah, the kid’s a boss just like his brother. It runs in the family.” I Interjected, giving a phony smile
“What’s up, Ash?” He said.
“Let's talk outside,” I suggested.
“I’m already having a conversation.” He said
I turned my head and leaned into him so that only he could hear me “Yo, I will fucking embarrass you.” I said through clenched teeth as my grip tightened around his shoulder blade
He nodded “Yeah, Jesse, man I'll catch up with you a little later.”
“No problem, I’ll be around,” he said
“Cool,” Aaron said as he and I walked away and through Evie’s front door. He turned towards me with his hands up “Man, why you trip-”
"Fuck were you thinking!” I said shoving him roughly making him stumble back
His face showed confusion for a second before his lips curved into a sinister smile.
“I know you not mad about that shit with Evie?” He asked brushing the wrinkles out of his shirt "Fucking up my shirt and shit, you know much this shit cost?" he questioned as lines formed on his forehead
“Nah because you're dead disrespecting me like you don’t know that I’ll beat the fuck outta you.”
It was nothing new for Aaron and me to go to blows and I didn’t mind reminding him how I got down.
“Nigga, I saw her first anyway.” He said.
“How, I’m the one who hired her!” I argued back.
“So motherfucka, you weren't checking for her till you found out what she was working with.” He waved me off “She free game, that’s not your girl so I don’t see the problem you’re having right now.”
“The hell she ain’t, you don’t know what I’m trying to do!” I countered
“Oh, so you do like her like that? See now how hard was that big bro?” He smiled
“What…? Nah, no… what I meant was that I-”
“No need to explain.” He chuckled “What you think Evie and I don’t talk about shit? Son, I promise you I know everything, I know shit that you don’t even know.” He expressed.
“I don’t know what you tal-, wait what she be telling you?” I inquired
“That’s our business if you weren’t trying to play the girl you’d probably know too. I saw through your bullshit the minute she hit me up. When are you going to stop doing this shit?” He asked
This time, I smirked. One thing I knew how to do was make women miss me. All I had to do was sweat them hard, then take that attention away and once I reemerged in their life, they were like putty in my hands.
I didn’t want to do that to Evie, she did mean something and I wasn’t just trying to run game on her back in Malibu, but she forced my hand, she couldn’t make up her mind so I to make it up for her.
“I told you this before, she’s different man, it’s hard to run game on this one.”
I had to laugh thinking back at that night. Aaron swore he knew Evie well and I don’t doubt that he does but I too knew her in ways that he didn’t.
He said my games weren’t going to work on her but here she was, arms wrapped around my neck, whispering how much she missed me.

Send 🎰 for me to put our muses into a random list generator then post the first five as potential ships! // @dawnswake
0. Juliet Capulet and Elaine of Astolat
BONUS BECAUSE??? OUR SAD ROMANTIC DEAD GIRLS!!! EVEN THE GENERATOR LOVES THEM, WE NEED ALL THE THINGS
1. Philomena Bruyère and Evie Grimhilde
Okay, you know my Evie muse is so few these days and I love your Evie so much more than mine. But all that aside??? Give Evie a big sister??? God, she would think Phil is the Absolute Coolest, especially pre-D1??? I can’t even articulate anything beyond THIS IS SO GOOD!!!
2. Errol Andersen and Amena of Agrabah
Dude. Duuuuuuuuuude. This?? Honestly has potential to be out Next Great Dynamic™. Seriously, like, Amena’s always wanted to travel? And wants to one day be an ambassador to other States within Auradon and other kingdoms without it? And you just know Errol’s backpacking trip included Agrabah because “Hey I heard there are flying carpets around here, what’s a guy gotta do to get me one of those?” And Amena knows it’s a Bad Idea but is like “Probably talk to the kid of the royal vizier and can offer you a ride on one.” I’m crying Edy, I need Errol hanging with Amena and Kalilah now
3. Harriet Hook and Hades
Honestly…not sure where to go with this. Technically they’d have an incredibly distant familial connection because she’s a siren but not one of Triton’s immediate/direct descendants? Could be a thing where he verifies some of her thoughts about who her mother is, since she was taken from her as a toddler.
3.5 Reginald “Reggie” Mantle Westergaard and Sigrid Westergaard
Bonus because I’m lame and have a reply for that starter you wrote me but wanna finish all my drafts before queueing them up. Plus, moved Reggie to request since not having an fc I like for my dumb boy makes me lose muse for him. Anyway, this family is Messy and we stan two bratty cousins who are actually half-siblings. Also, feel free to throw Sigi @ the triplets, they’d fight her too
4. Teresa Oriol and Snow White
LET TERE HANG OUT WITH HER RIDE OR DIE GIRL’S MAMA??? God, you know Tere is over at Sunny’s all the time lbr, Snow and Florian see Tere almost as much as they see their own daughter? Tere just?? Casually waltzing into this castle and just? Greeting Snow and Florian in v cheerful Spanish?? G o d please Edy, I need it, give her another mama and papa. (Also??? She’s technically private but??? Throw Snow and Florian at Chel??? Let them all be friends???)
4.5 Gil Legume Gaston Guillaume Legume and Gil Legume Giles Nicolas Legume
I??? Can’t believe I got both of our boys wow, the levels of sunshine are off the charts. THAT BEING SAID, CONSIDER: twin au
5. Sonora Florian and Diana Tremaine
God?? The epitome of Sunshine and Raincloud??? Di is a grumpy lil brat and Sunny would just…slowly wear her down. But I feel like she’d immediately be drawn to Di (and Harriet lbr) because !!! GIRLS WHO USE SWORDS!!! GIRLS WHO FIGHT!!! As well as just general fascination of the VKs, Di and Harriet, out of my girls, are most adamant about changing rules about girls in sports - they’re mostly concerned about ROAR bc…swordfighting, duh. But would be 10000000% supportive of Sunny? She’d go to all of Sunny’s games???
#messages#dawnswake#((edy i need all of these we need to plot asap))#i'll stop wearing black when they make a darker color (ooc)

alright i’m watching descendants 2 rn and i’ll document what i’m thinking as i go along (warning: spoilers, duh, also probably ship negativity towards jan/os and possibly ba/)
so yeah uh enjoy my unfiltered thoughts
- ways to be wicked is exactly what and where i thought it would be
- right in the second scene there’s a tv broadcast with clips from what happened like 30 secs ago
- i’m not sure what to think of evie being anti-magic and like, so rule abiding.. (*edit: hmmmm, i think i kinda get it, but i’ll have to think about it a bit more)
- first appearance of carlos and jane already has me gagging how am i supposed to sit through this
- chad was mean so it’s okay that the movie treats him like a joke
- awkward reference to the first movie (not a lot of there there)
- why is jay not wearing a mask for this duel
- i want lonnie to stab me
- also what the fuck is this sport and what happened to tourney
- chad is a jerk bc every highschool needs one i guess (*edit: wow this movie really hates chad huh)
- oooommmmmyyyygggooooodddddd do jane and carlos seriously get no other arc than dancing around each other the entire time this is torture
- i mean i’m salty that this is how jane has to spend her screen time but i’m still glad she’s there at all
- “how to get out of the friendzone” or “how to make me eat dinner in reverse”
- carlos: “i was usually on the other side of [screaming]” ok wow just fuck me up
- ??why is chad so awkward???
- if carlos asked mal for the truth gummy it must mean he isn’t anti-magic and oh my god i’m so happy about that like
- first appearance and i already love the dynamic between uma, harry and gil movie pls don’t ruin this
- another awkward d1 reference (you can’t take me anywhere)
- “and i was giving you props for fitting in so well” honestly ben shut the fuck up omg
- evie: “she’s my best friend” you haven’t really been acting like it tho ngl
- why does no one recognize mal on the isle. she’s walking around being seen by lots of people and there’s not even whispering a la “is that her?” “why is she back?” “traitor!” do they not give a shit or
- why does she need curlers for straight hair?? what
- in the second book carlos was the only one who knew how to drive but let’s just never mention that again ever amirite
- chillin’ lika a villain has a fun choreography i like it (the song itself is meh but whatever)
- i love gil
- the whole movie could just be a back and forth between mal and uma and i would watch it
- so uhm. was there literally never a talk about bringing more isle kids to auradon like. were they thinking hey, it went really well with the first four but let’s leave the rest to rot on the isle. i mean did evie never once bring up how dizzy should come over too (*edit: ok so ben’s got an excuse for that but it’s hella lame)
- holy shit space between is so gay i can’t
- but that lazy ass clip show tho like couldn’t they think of some more choreo for those couple of seconds instead of reusing old footage
- and right after that it cuts to carlos and jay sleeping next to each other,,, this is mockery
- harry is such a bisexual tbH
- i love that they love lonnie
- the green screens still look shitty lmao
- it’s going down is already kinda awkward but ben’s part is just embarrassing.. that auto tune omg..
- why is the wand supposed to work under the barrier? bc the barrier was made with it? ..still weird
- dude: “amazeballs” oh jesus fuck
- i liked the girl talk scene (tho i wish they didn’t call it girl talk)
- jay: “give it up for your new team captain” OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH
- ok carlos and jane were.....kind of.....cute......no pls take this heterosexuality away from me........oh no.........
- IS THAT LUMIERE I WANT AN ENTIRE MOVIE JUST ABOUT HIM OH MY GOD
- whaaaat the happ is fuckening at the cotillion??? is that a fucking dream sequence???????
- oooooh uma spelled him right
- ooooooooh it’s gonna be true love’s kiss right
- uma is so pretty tho she’s killing me
- so uma is retreating bc of ben’s lame ass speech lmao k
- evie: “i know a girl who would love to come to auradon” but fuck all the others amirite
- evie: “and there’s a lot of other kids” alright alright i’ll stop complaining haha (for now at least)
- no mal don’t give away your spellbook don’t stop doing magic oh come on fuck the magic ban fuck it fuck it
- another hella awkward song here we go
- carlos’ suit is so ugly
- ok the song wasn’t that bad
- but what the fuck is that kiss the girl cover (during credits) that was terrible. it could have been so great it’s one of my fav disney songs ever and all i get is a bad auto tune whateverthefuck. i feel cheated
yeah so all in all that was kinda underwhelming. i’ll probably make some more posts talking about it but that’s it for now.
meh

Pitch Fic: Breathless Trains and Worn Down Glories
Valentine’s Day exchange gift for @maybetwice. Post-s1, Mike pays a visit to Ginny’s new place.
Title from “We Don’t Eat” by James Vincent McMorrow.
Breathless Trains and Worn Down Glories (AO3)
He shows up 40 minutes late, of course he does. Not that it really makes a difference either way, Ginny’s sullen subconscious reminds her. She’s been in a bad mood since the movers showed up at her doorstep hours ago, and she tries in vain to ignore the part of her that's genuinely buoyed by the sight of Mike Lawson on her new front stoop.
“Party’s cancelled,” she snaps, in spite of herself. “Did you not get the Facebook message?” As the words leave her mouth, before the confused frown even has a chance to wrinkle Mike’s face, she realizes her mistake.
“Of course you didn’t.” Sigh. “Check your phone once in awhile, grandpa.”
The captain’s expression twists even further in confusion, and when he glances down to palm at his jeans pocket, Ginny notices a few new streaks of grey in his beard. It’s strange, not seeing him every day in the off-season, but she'd never admit to missing him.
“I saw Blip’s car out front,” he points out, giving up on his phone almost as quickly as he started. She doubts he'd even be able to figure out which app to look at to find the now-deleted invite for what was supposed to be her housewarming party.
“Yeah well, Blip and Evy are here because I guilted them into helping--”
“Helping?” he interrupts. “What’s wrong?”
Mike looks at her, with that scrunchy, concerned face he points her way far too often, and her stupid heart does another little flip. She relaxes just a little, enough to open the door and take a step back, revealing that the entryway of her modest condo is stacked high with brown cardboard boxes.
“This is how my mother announces that she’s moving in with her boyfriend,” she sighs, again. “Or, fiance, I guess…”
“She got engaged?”
The word sounds foreign to Ginny’s ears and she realizes that some stubborn part of her brain was just refusing to put the pieces together. “She called to tell me they’re getting married,” she admits. “I guess so.”
She actually hadn't given it much thought until that moment, distracted by the U-Haul of a task at hand. She wonders if Kevin got down on one knee. She wonders if her mother cried.
“Anyway, she sent me like, half the stuff from the house so she can get it ready to put on the market.” Ginny’s eyes regain their focus and Mike’s looking right at her, almost through her, like he’s trying to figure something out. “And since all the boxes arrived today, and since I can’t really lift anything,” she motions to her immobilized arm, “it’s not really a great time for a party.”
He waits a beat before he speaks, and she expects something about how he didn’t cross the Coronado Bridge tonight just to be denied a celebratory bash. Not for the first time, he surprises her.
“Blip and Evelyn are helping, I assume.”
“Yeah.” She finally steps back enough to let him in, and he accepts the unspoken invitation. “Evy’s unpacking the kitchen stuff that I can actually use-”
“Could use, if you knew the first thing about cooking.” Evelyn materializes, poking at Ginny with a rubber spatula as Mike follows her through the front room into the kitchen, which she loves, even if her friend is right about her culinary skills. “There's some nice stuff in here and I'd hate to see you use it just to burn Kraft macaroni.”
Ginny ignores her, turning back to Mike, who’s appraising the room silently. She finds herself wondering what he thinks, daring herself to ask outright. “You want a beer?”
“Sure.” He nods, and gives her another smile that makes her knees wobble just slightly. “Where's Blip?”
“Carrying the rest of the boxes up to the empty guest room,” she answers, popping open two beers and handing them both to him. “You’re welcome to help him, back permitting of course.”
Mike just rolls his eyes and heads up the stairs with the drinks. A few seconds later, she hears him and Blip bound back down to the first floor, trash-talking as they try to one-up each other in a box-carrying contest. Evelyn's focus, however, as it has been since Ginny told her about the night outside Boardner’s, is singularly honed in on Mike's arrival. Or rather, Ginny's reaction to Mike's arrival.
“So he came over, huh?” Her friend poses it like a harmless question, back turned as she sorts through a box of flatware, though it's far from an innocent inquiry.
She rolls her eyes. “Just cause he's the oldest man in the whole world and didn't get the message that the party was cancelled.”
“So he came over,” Evelyn repeats with emphasis, drama practically dripping from her multiple innuendos.
“We're not doing this,” Ginny answers defiantly, her new mantra when it comes to her friend’s ceaseless questions.
Mercifully, Blip pops downstairs to ask Evy something about bathroom storage, and instead of listening, Ginny takes advantage of the distraction to escape the kitchen. Heading up the stairs and rounding the corner to the spare room, she sputters to a dead stop at the sight of Mike Lawson lining her Little League trophies up on top of one of her bookcases.
“You're opening my boxes? Seriously?”
“It was marked ‘baseball,’’ he admits with a shrug . At least he has the decency to look a little sheepish. “Figured you could put some stuff up in here, make this a display room.”
“This is a guest room and an office.” She argues because that's what they do, not because she's really bothered by it. And, if she's being honest, the baseball memorabilia makes the place feel homier than it has since she moved in two weeks ago. “I don't think we need every single participation ribbon up on the walls.”
He chuckles, digging out a few more trophies before diving into the box with both hands to pull out a tattered navy binder she remembers all too well.
It’s bigger than she remembers, and it looks heavy. Mike's biceps flex as he sets it down on the desk. Not that she’s watching Mike’s biceps. Not that she noticed when he shrugged out of his leather jacket to start unpacking her mementos, as if that's something teammates do for one another.
“Well then, what's this thing?” He cracks open the binder and Ginny shudders at the first page, a team picture from her junior year of high school.
“That’s the Ginny Baker Book,” she answers, matter-of-factly. “Stat sheets, press clippings, scouting reports, letters of recommendation. Everything you need to sell someone on Ginny Baker in twenty minutes or less.”
“Aw, it's kind of nice,” Mike muses softly, flipping through the pages. If she didn't know better, she'd say he sounds a little wistful.
Come to think of it, she doesn't know better. No one seems to know that much about the Lawson family, besides the fact that there doesn't appear to be one. Moments like these are when Ginny finds herself wondering the most.
“You parents made this?” he asks while she wonders.
“My dad used to keep this thing buckled in the backseat of his car.” That seems to break the spell, he looks up at her and laughs a little. “I'm not kidding. He'd keep it updated too, so he could show off all the stats from the game of the week.”
Then it's Ginny's turn to trail off, remembering her father in that way she always does when she thinks about the baseball she's played since he was there to watch.
Perhaps sensing that she needs a distraction, Mike leaves the book on the desk, diving back into the memories and coming back up with a smaller, white box that looks like it came from a department store.
“What is this?” He pulls out the contents to dangle his fingers, and wags his eyebrows at her. “Ooh, you gonna try this on for me?”
Ginny recognizes the dress immediately, and chokes out a laugh that tastes bitter. “That's the dress my mother bought me for my first school dance”
Mike must mistake her reaction to the memory for something else, because he stammers, awkwardly offering, “C’mon, I bet you were adorable.”
“Yeah,” she fake-laughs again for just a second before deciding, without really knowing why, to tell him the truth. “No actually, I uh, I never got to wear it.”
He watches her closely, obviously expecting more to the answer. She feels lame when she adds, “Baseball stuff, you know.”
She remembers the burn of that day so clearly, even now. Running home from school, ready to quit the game entirely for the sake of a life not lived. Finding her mother wrapped up with a man who wasn't her father and deciding, right then and there that her allegiance had to belong to one side or the other. Baseball or boys, sports or romance, talent or heart. Pick one, and own that choice.
It wasn't until adulthood that she started to look back at the other side of the story, the path she could have taken. It's not until moments like this one when she thinks about her mother being left out of the shorthand existence she and her father turned into a routine: staying home alone during week-long travel team road trips and working extra hours so they could keep Ginny in new cleats and pay for a private pitching coach.
It's not until recently that she’s realized she's not the only one who was lonely.
“For a long time, I blamed my mom for that.” Ginny tells Mike, thinking back to the dance, the first of many missed. “It just made sense, I was already blaming her for everything else.”
He snorts out a humorless laugh that sounds like he's familiar with the feeling. She looks up at him and he just nods tersely before turning his attention back to smoothing the dress back into its box.
“We were so close when I was younger.” She tells him more, because having him this close to these pieces of her childhood has opened some sort of floodgate. “Then, I don't know, we just kind of gave up on each other.”
“Still, I kept her secret for all those years,” she continues, tangent devolving past the point of Mike’s understanding, but unable to stop herself, “and now I'm supposed to stand there and smile while she marries him, like it's totally normal?”
He's quiet for a long moment after her little rant and Ginny feels that specific kind of embarrassed guilt that comes when you've said more than you should have. She also finds herself trying to predict him again, despite knowing that it's an exercise in futility.
“Sometimes, all we can do for the people we love is be completely selfless.” The words grate from Mike's lips and she finds herself watching them, hoping there's a caveat coming, even if she's not entirely sure why.
“And sometimes,” he takes a step closer and it feels like the temperature in the room goes up, “we have to be selfish.”
She knows that they’re talking about her mother -- who, in hindsight, held her family together for as long as she could, despite her husband’s singular focus and in spite of her own happiness -- but Ginny wonders if there isn’t something more to it. Something that would explain the feeling in the pit of her stomach at Mike’s words, something that would explain the way he's looking at her.
He lifts a hand to cup her cheek, using his thumb to wipe away a tear she hadn't noticed falling. He's close, when Ginny looks up to meet his eyes, she wonders if he's closer now than he was that night outside the bar. Her breath hitches when she realizes that he's looking at her the same way, too. That's when she runs.
She flees back downstairs to the kitchen, where Evy's pouring another glass of wine.
“Me too, please.”
“OK, now are we doing this?” Evelyn hands over her own goblet, clearly able to see something written all over her face. Ginny wishes she knew what it said.
“No... I don't know,” She answers almost to herself, mentally sorting through how she came so close to kissing Mike Lawson again. It may be the most she's ever wanted something she knew was terrible for her. “Things are getting a little intense.”
“Like intense, intense?” Evy’s ready to pry, but when Ginny screws up her face, trying to better articulate the way she's feeling about her teammate’s physical and emotional proximity, something changes.
“Oh my god, OK, message received.” her friend flutters her hands and practically squeals, but she doesn’t explain herself. “I'm going to… We're going right now. We're gone. Blip ?”
Evy's husband appears from around the corner, but her voice inadvertently summons Mike from upstairs at the same time.
“You guys leaving?” Ginny can feel his eyes on her as he descends the stairs, but when she finally glances back up at him, he's looking at his feet, seemingly as shell-shocked as she feels. “I guess I’ll walk out with you.”
She's the one who ran first and yet, Ginny's stomach twists at the idea he might leave. This time, she doesn't even pretend not to know why.
“Yeah, I uh... I guess I’m in good shape.” She presses her lips into a tight smile and looks everywhere but Mike’s face. “Thanks for all your help, guys.”
She hugs Blip before Evy hustles him out the door, leaving her hanging with a kiss on the cheek and a not-so-subtle punch to her good arm. And then there were two.
“So, thanks for for coming to my housewarming party,” Ginny quips because it’s easy. Jokes are good. Jokes are what they need if they're going to move from stalemate back to teammates, to return to a place where every single moment isn't fraught with this heavy kind of tension.
“Always happy to help warm a house,” he replies, like he's aware of her inner monologue. They're pretending to watch Blip and Evelyn drive away, but she wonders if Mike’s as aware of her standing next to him as she is of his presence. “Congrats rookie, it's a really nice place.”
“Season's over, Cap. I'm not your rookie anymore.”
Ginny says it almost unconsciously, but even if she had planned it, she'd never have expected him to look so… stricken? He masks it after a moment, shaking his head a little, but there's no denying what she saw. It makes her heart twist to the wrong side of painful.
“You should take a look at the rest of that scrapbook.” Mike offers finally, giving her one last look at that indecipherable smile. “Read it all the way to the end.”
It's not anywhere near what she was expecting him to say, and so it freezes her in place, long enough for him to turn and stride down her front path to the driveway. She watches him walk all the way out to the street, and it's hard to tell in the dark, but she's pretty sure he looks back at her before sliding in the driver's side door.
Ginny shuts her front door behind him with her eyebrows still furrowed and actually pretends to go to the kitchen, fighting her curiosity for all of 30 seconds before she's racing up the stairs, flipping open the binder on her pre-assembled Ikea desk and turning to the last page.
It's a newspaper clipping for one of her games, just like hundreds of others in the book. But it’s not yellowed yet, not worn or delicate like the older mementos. There's a pink post-it on the page, and her throat closes up when she recognizes the handwriting: “Last game of Ginny’s MLB rookie season.”
She flips backwards through the book, watching her rookie year flash by in reverse rapid fire as she realizes. She's bolting down the stairs before she hits the minors, flinging the front door open before she even realizes what she's doing.
Mike’s car is still there, parked right in front of her mailbox. She's surprised to find that she expected it to be. The only thing she’s not sure of -- Ginny realizes, as she takes purposeful strides towards him -- is what to do next.
Something changes inside her when her bare feet pad across the smooth stones that lead to her driveway, when she's close enough to meet his eyes as he steps out of the car. This is her house, and there's a man waiting for her, and the thrilling novelty of both of those things has her ready to make what might be a very bad decision in a very big way. And then, all of a sudden, she's right in front of him.
“My mother...” He smiles at her, sweetly, because he knows , Ginny realizes. “Thank you, for that.”
“Not a problem.” This time, the smile almost turns into a smirk, and she doesn’t mind it. But she's too knotted up inside to find something clever, and then she's just staring, stuck between the things she wants to say and the things she wants to do.
“We gonna go through this again?” Mike finally wonders aloud. “Standing here in front of each other when there's a car I should be getting into?”
She's a little stunned by the boldness of his callback, but her feet take another step closer and her tongue offers up the response like she's had it planned this whole time. “No. Because we’re really gonna do it this time.”
Sometimes you have to be selfish , that's what he'd said.
“Yeah?” A full, brilliant smile suddenly stretches across Mike’s face and Ginny wonders if he even tried to stop it. “I gotta admit, rook, glad as I am to still be a Padre, I've found myself wondering what might have happened if Oscar had called just like, five minutes later.”
“Soon as you're done waxing poetic on it, old man.” She takes another step forward and a deep breath, because between his admission and her adrenaline, she can practically hear her heart thudding in her ears. “Kind of need your lips for this next part.”
He does stop, pausing and watching her with wide eyes, as if to show her he's ready, and Ginny has a split second of panic laced with deja vu. She's so close to him now, so close she can feel the warm of his chest and smell a hint of hops on his breath, and he’s leaning in, waiting for her to meet him halfway. It’s just the two of them, without a ticking clock, the possibilities are infinite until...
Ginny thinks about consequences, about their teammates, about the odds that one of her neighbors is going to put this on Snapchat -- then she remembers Mike’s phone buzzing in his pocket outside Boardner's, breaking the moment they could have had. It's all the motivation she needs to close the distance and press her lips to his.
His reaction is immediate, deepening the kiss until she can feel it in her knees. He tugs her close but not too tight, aware of her arm awkwardly pinned between them as his hands wrap around her waist and squeeze, fingers pressing in like there’s something he’s trying to keep. She loses herself in it, anchoring her free arm around his broad shoulders and letting her heart take over for the first time in over a decade.
They pull back but not away after a long moment, foreheads pressed against one another, taking in oxygen and each other.
“I'm glad you didn't go,” Ginny admits breathlessly, hoping he can hear the unspoken desire laced through her confession.
“Me too,” Mike whispers back, before capturing her lips again. “But I'm sorry I didn't get to kiss you like I was leaving.”
She wonders what the difference is, until the slow drag of his mouth against hers, the tease of his tongue against her lower lip, spells it all out.
There will be consequences, she's sure of it. But not yet. Not tonight. For now, there's just the sound he makes when her fingers tangle in the hair at the nape of his neck, the prickle of his beard surrounding the softness of his lips, and the feeling that she's finally home.

Blog Post #8
29My responses to the appendix interview and my mom’s answers
• If you think of a few recent purchases what were the main factors that influenced your purchase? Usually my purchases are out of necessity or spontaneity. It’s either something I need, or something I want in the spur of the moment. Usually price.
• What was your last music-related purchase? I bought a concert ticket to see one of my favorite singers with my best friend. I bought a Pink Floyd T-shirt that I found in the boys section at JCPenney’s and it was five dollars
• What were the main reasons/motivations behind the purchase? It’s a person I really love and admire and I haven’t been to an actual concert in years, so like why not? It was five dollars and it had Pink Floyd on it
• What kind of music do you like? I like a lot of music, I can even stand country music sometimes. Mostly, I like slow sad sounding music, or music that makes me feel something. Music I like.... I like pretty much everything except hard core rap and country music. Specifically I like rock n roll and hip hop dance music
• How do you consume music—i.e., how do you buy it/ when do you watch/listen to it/where do you watch/ listen to it? I usually listen to spotify whenever i’m using my laptop, or if im listening on my phone I listen to the music ive purchased through google play. In the car I listen to CDs or the radio. I mostly listen to it on the radio at home in the car or on my iPhone via Pandora or iTunes
• What are your opinions on the current music industry as a whole? I feel like there are a lot of people who don’t get the recognition they deserve, and some people who get recognition they don’t deserve. This can really be said for just about any industry though. What does that mean? (evie gives brief explaination) Well, I don’t know any of them personally...
• How much of an influence would your favorite musicians have on you as a person? I think a lot of my favorite artists have shaped who I am, and I draw a lot from the music I listen to in terms of i dont know, personality and the way I deal with things. None. Although when Chester benigton killed himself that really pissed me off because his music had a lot of influence on overcoming obstacles and then he offs himself. That was lame. But really they can take a stand for whatever and unless they are complete bigot assholes I’ll still listen to their music.
• How about on your purchases? I want to support these people, so yeah I’m going to buy their stuff if I can afford it, especially up and coming artists that I really want to see succeed. Also, maybe they influence my purchases on things like clothes and stuff. No.
• Do you consider social responsibility and/or ethical considerations when making purchases of products/ services in the area of music? There are some artists that while I enjoy their music, I don’t agree with actions they take or how they feel about certain topics. I’m less likely to purchase anything related to an artist who’s actions I don’t agree with, and here I think I’m mostly talking about people like Chris Brown who literally is an abuser and takes what he wants whenever he wants it and is literally just an awful person. No.
• Can you think of ways that musicians/bands currently engage in socially responsible behavior? There’s a lot going on in the world, and a lot of issues that need representation and awareness in order to get anything done, and music and artists are a great way to send these messages. Even just being openly supportive of a cause, or donating money to a cause can really bring awareness. When they preach about politics during their concerts instead of singing or when they bring kids up on stage that really enjoy their music during concerts and cater to their fans that’s a good one.
• Do any recent examples of socially responsible behavior within the music industry come to mind? Taylor Swift and her suing the guy who sexually assaulted her for a dollar, not to get any money but to call to action this kind of thing that happens all the time and shouldn’t be normalized. She also donated a large sum to sexual assault survivors and historically has donated a lot to disaster relief funds and fans who need help financially. In 2015 she donated $50,000 to a fan who was diagnosed with Leukemia. It’s because of Swift that GoFundMe had to raise the amount a person is allowed to donate at a time. Hearing about some musicians donating lots of money to a specific causes. My favorite is Jon Bon Jovi and how he has a restaurant that caters to the hungry and the homeless.
• Have you considered aspects of socially responsible behavior when you have attended live music events? Historically, not really. However the only concert i’ve been to in the last five years was to see the Wallflowers. In the past I’ve seen some bands live that now I don’t think I’d really want to see again. Not always, but at least sometimes you can tell a lot about an artist or band by their fans, and some of the music I used to listen to in lets say middle school, definitely have views a lot different from what I know now. No.
• Have you engaged in socially responsible behavior at live music events? No. Yes. (evie: care to elaborate?) Sitting down so people can see behind me saying please when walking through the crowd. Saying excuse me.
• How would you define a socially responsible musician? I think I remember reading an article about an artist who stopped a show after seeing a fan in the audience having a panic attack, and made sure to get this fan help before continuing (after some research, this artist was Harry Styles) and there have been other instances like this (Drake stops concert to call out groping, Linkin Park also stops show to help a fan, etc.). I think this is what it means to be socially responsible. There’s a lot that’s going on in a crowd at a show, and for an artist to call out a bad situation really shows that. A musician that shows social responsibility to me it is defined as a musician that preaches love and community and is involved and good fundraising for programs that help society, like Bon Jovi. I think he is a prime example of what a musician that shows social responsibility.
• Do you think it is important for them to act in a socially responsible way? Yes. It shows that a person cares about their fans, and not just the money they make off of them, and in this age if you’re neutral in situations of injustice, you’re on the side of the oppressor. Yes.
• Would you be more likely to buy an album/attend a concert of an artist that you perceive to be engaged in socially responsible behavior? Yes. Yes.
• Have you attended a live event due to the socially responsible aspect of the event? No. Yes but only because I was working (she’s a stage-hand).
• How would you compare the role that social responsibility plays in everyday consumption decisions to music consumption decisions? People look for brands that are socially responsible in a lot of their purchases. Whether a brand tests on animals, or companies that are tied to a charity. I know I tend to shop at target, one because I love target, and two because I know they have a partnership with St. Jude Children’s Hospital and having that knowledge makes me feel even better when shopping there. There are also stores and other places I refuse to shop at, such as Goodwill because of their inaction to help people, despite their claims otherwise. (Goodwill had a thing going where when purchasing goods you could round up to the nearest dollar, and the extra few cents would be donated to veterans. No money was ever donated and goodwill managers are frequently seen refusing to provide clothing to homeless people (including veterans) despite claiming they would clothe any homless person who came to the store.) For younger people I say that is a big factor but for my age not so much. (evie: I told her what I put for my answer) Yes, those are good examples. I definitely agree with that.
2.) Anyone can say anything to get attention, but it’s action and reaction that determine real intentions. Like I said earlier in my interview answers, Goodwill for example claims to be a place of donation, yet the Goodwill CEO makes $729,000 annually and their employees don’t make a living wage. An they aren’t the only company that makes promises like this and don’t follow through. I think it’s important for artists, while preaching a certain message, uphold the ideals that they are setting. And there are a lot of artists that do a lot of good. Thom Yorke for example, and Bon Jovi like my mom mentioned. Thom Yorke engages in eco-friendly events and lives eco-friendly so you know he’s not just doing these things for publicity. Unlike Thom Yorke and many others, there are many people who will preach the importance of donating to charity but run these multi-million dollar empires without contributing a dime to anything worthwhile that has the potential to change the world. This doesn’t just apply to musicians either, there are a lot of rich people in the spot light that don’t do anything or don’t do enough. The article states: “Music is a powerful vehicle through which tastes and values are understood, and social groups and subcultures are formed.” While I completely agree with. A lot of the music I listen to reflects what I believe and who I am, and where my values align. I find that people who share my same music interests tend to have a lot of the same views as I do, not always but a significant amount of time. A lot of music I listened to when I was younger, I didn’t really understand, and I see that some of the people that listen to that kind of music now are people I tend to not want to associate with, as I don’t want to associate with that music anymore either.
I think the video by Lin Manuel Miranda where he wrote a song and had a bunch of other Latin American artists come together to raise money was a great example of an artist being authentic in promoting something. This project was close to him, as someone who’s parents immigrated from Puerto Rico, and this wasn’t the only action he took in support of the relief fund for Puerto Rico. He promoted this charity on talk shows, visited Puerto Rico, brought Hamilton to Puerto Rico and provided a way to allow impoverished people to see his show, and has donated around 2.5 million towards this cause and other causes through his words and his work. Not only this, but he continues to raise money for other causes, such as March for our Lives (Starting with his collaborative song with Ben Platt). Since LMM’s rise to fame, he has never stopped giving back to the community and working for equality across every issue.
I currently don’t have an example of the opposite, where an artist doesn’t meet up to their claims, but will try to think of one before class.
